We have used this dealership for many years and always felt we could trust and count on them. Now however after a service experience my son had with his brand new Honda Civic, and being charged $173.00 for a 0.3 mm wheel alignment adjustment on one rear wheel we cant recommend them. Whatever they did took less than 15 minutes and many experts agree was not needed. All complete 4 wheel alignments cost less than that. This vehicle had less than 5500km on it. I did call, complain and got a full refund, but how can they be trusted ever again? Its disheartening and sad that they clearly took advantage of him in the most annoying car repair cliche there is. IN RESPONSE to your REPLY The reality is 0.3 on one rear wheel is very minor. Probably the first thing a driver notices when a wheel alignment goes awry is a steering pull to either the left or the right. There was no pull at all. Uneven tire wear is also a obviously a wheel alignment issue. There was no mention of a wear issue in the service report. The problem is what you say was required and advised upon was not fully explained to my son. And more importantly it was also not stated how much the cost would be. The opportunity that you speak of, to authorize the service or not, was definitely not presented in the way you describe here. The way it was presented was “you need a wheel alignment” . Whatever work was done on the vehicle, took place in the time frame of 8:03 am and 8:15. That is a very short amount of time for the cost charged. I have nothing but exemplary things to say about our sales person, Alastair Tombs, we greatly appreciated his honest low pressure sales approach. He was extremely helpful and patient. As well Paula Hopkins-Mullen who helped with the financing, and someone I’ve known and trusted for many years, is the best, what else can be said about her. I’m not writing this as the typical internet rant, this is all a person can do to express their viewpoint and hopefully it helps others. Unfortunately the events surrounding this service and the whole situation have changed my families view of your dealership. I don’t really care how state of the art something is and how you use it as part service reception procedure, the bottom line is the wheel alignment issue was not fully explained, the cost was not presented, and I believe as many others in the industry do, was not truly required at this time. What I do care about is trust, honesty and a clear common sense explanation of things that makes sense to people who are not in your industry, who are your customers. This is where the problem lies and this where you fail to see how this is an issue.

May 16th: (1/5 rating) I have been to several Honda dealerships in Edmonton that were fantastic, and I was expecting this location to be on par with my past experiences ... it was definitely not! I came in for a simple oil change yesterday. I called well ahead and was pleased to hear this location actually books appointments for oil changes and was not just first come first serve, so I booked a time. I arrived at 445 pm and I did not leave until a few minutes to 700 pm ... it took over 2 hours to do the oil change and that was with an appointment booked! I have never waited longer than 40 minutes before at a first come first serve location, and I always go at the end of the day after I get off work. While I was waiting a women came out to show me the air filter of my vehicle and as soon as I saw it I agreed that it definitely needed to be replaced. She told me my total for the day would be $98 with the filters being changed. However when I got to the counter to pay I was told my total was $230. Apparently when the women stated to me a total for the day of $98 she was only referring to the filters and not the oil change, which was the reason I was there to begin with. When I arrived I stated very clearly that all I wanted was an oil change and nothing more, this is why they checked with me before changing the filters, however they decided to do a tire rotation as well and charge me an additional $40 for it. I am having my winter tires and wheels removed in a week and exchanged for my summer tires and wheels which is why I did not need a tire rotation. I am so far beyond disappointed with this location. I have always felt that Honda has been very upfront and forward with me, but I feel this location was a little sneaky with adding in services I did not agree to and then leaving me no option but to pay for it as the service had already been done. May 17th: The manager Jeremy did contact me, by phone, today. We had a very good discussion about the events of my last visit. He addressed every one of my concerns and was very pleasant to talk to. I am very impressed with the great follow up this center has when a client has an issue. They did go above and beyond to rectify the situation!

Im a Honda Girl Now" Shopping for a new car as a single woman is usually about as much fun as sticking a fork in your eye (single gals out there that have purchased a vehicle on your own you know what I mean). Ive been in some pretty slimy dealerships in Edmonton. I thought I would take a chance and drive out to a new St. Albert Honda dealership. Am I ever glad that I did!! I would describe the way this dealership treated me as a customer is - with respect. Brian, the manager of the dealership was unlike any other manager I had ever encountered. The first day I was at the dealership, the salesperson was unable to take me for a test drive due to an impending appointment with another customer. I completely understood as I had arrived unannounced. To my great surprise, Brian took the time out of his day to take me for a test drive. Unbelievable! Usually the manager is a mysterious figure hidden somewhere in a back office. Ive never had such a personal interaction with a manager before. Cam, my salesperson, was fantastic. He patiently answered all of my questions, never pressured or rushed me. It was a pleasure to deal with him during the entire buying process. Unfortunately, a new vehicle purchase for me means partial financing. Paula, the finance manager was wonderful to work with. She was able to explain the financial terms to me in a way that I understood and I felt completely comfortable, and knowledgeable, with the financial plan that was set up. No costs were hidden from me, all expenses were completely out in the open. A very competent, professional, and personable team at St. Albert Honda - willing to go the extra mile for the customer. I highly recommend!!

My wife and I decided to check out St Albert Honda with a view to trading in our Jeep. Mark(salesman) looked after us comprehensively going through the Honda vehicles we were interested in and their relative merits. Mark took his time to explain the ins and outs with no pressure and allowed us to make an informed decision. We were offered a fair and reasonable offer for our trade in vehicle and we decided to go ahead and buy a 2017 Honda Civic EX. We have purchased quite a few new vehicles in our time but can honestly say, without exception, this was the best, stress free purchase we have ever made. Paula, (Finance) was extremely helpful explaining all of the benefits of the Honda extended warranty programme and also the rust proofing, body and fabric protection service which was most helpful to our decision making. Finally, Shiela (New Vehicle Orientation) provided us with the most comprehensive orientation of our new car that we have ever experienced and she left no stone unturned explaining every function of the vehicle to our complete satisfaction. All in all, the best new car buying experience ever, Our sincere thanks to Mark, Paula and Shiela for such an enjoyable and satisfying buying experience. If our experience is anything to go by (and I believe it is) we have no hesitation in recommending St Albert Honda to anyone purchasing a new vehicle who values common courtesy, professionalism and no pressure sales tactics. Thank you all, Sincerely, Ronise and John T
