Absolutely awful customers service, manners, and unacceptable wait time! At 9:10AM a Kal Tire team member OMONTESA accepted my car to fix a leaking tire, according to the paperwork my car should of been ready at 9:45 AM. Instead, it wasnt ready at all after 9 hours of waiting! Disgrace! All my tires were purchased from Kal Tire and are covered by warranty. At 2:30 PM my husband called and asked: "when the car will be ready?" He was told that the car will be ready between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. When we arrived at 5:30 PM the car was not even in the bay and we were told that they will be bring it in now. After I said that I am not willing to wait any longer for my tire to be fixed, and I asked for an appointment. Chris G looked at the computer and told me that my appointment is for Thursday (almost a week from now ). Then I ironically asked if he can push it any further, maybe Saturday? He didnt detect sarcasm in my question and said: "its done ". Expecting me to be a mind-reader to know what time and which day he finally booked me for! When I said "you didnt even ask me what time is convenient for me, and you didnt give me a print-out or anything with my appointment details," he asked "what time will be convenient for you?" Boy, finally some manners. What does one have to do through to get good customer service? After holding my car hostage for 9 hours these people have the gall to be mean, unaccommodating, rude and hostile. We own 3 cars and were always changing our tires at this location due the convenience, despite previous not so awesome experiences, and I never went as far as writing a review. But this time they went too far. I will make sure that all my family, friends, and colleagues will avoid this location. I have the paperwork to proof this case! I have to add that on the following Tuesday I received a phone call from the Sr. Assistant Manager and my tire was fixed in a timely manner, upon my arrival to resolve this unfortunate event. I am very happy that my tire was fixed and hope that in the future the customer service will be friendlier. I only enjoy writing good reviews, but sometimes the truth has to be told. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. Worst customer service experience from a tire shop. The manager Dave was rude and offensive. I would never go back to this Kal Tire location, nor would I recommend other people go there for service. I went there with a vibration issue and asked them to look into it. They said that they will do wheel balancing and it will resolve the issue. Picked up the car and took it on the highway...same problem was still there. Took it back to the same shop about a week later. They said they would do another wheel balance free of charge :). Picked up the car and they said all four wheels were out by 3-5 ounces. Strange since they had done all four wheels just a week ago. Took it out on the highway again...same problem was still there. A week after that I went to Fountain Tire downtown to have them look at it. The owner there, Michael, was very polite and helpful. They said the balance on all four wheels was done incorrectly. Not sure how Kal Tire was able to do this incorrectly, but when I took the car on the highway...vibration was gone! I was somewhat annoyed with my experience at Kal Tire and went back there to express my dissatisfaction with their poor service and possibly get a refund since they did nothing for me, except waste my time. This is when the manager, Dave, tried to get into a heated discussion with me. He went on saying that their equipment is top of the line, how it is calibrated every morning...he went as far as accusing me that I tampered with the tires or was hiding information from him, or Fountain Tire swapped the tires around to fix the problem without disclosing it...basically everything he could think of to pass on the blame. Needless to say that I will never go back there and Ill try my best to share my experience with as many people as possible.

I also had horrible customer service from the manager Dave. He is rude and talks down to you as if youre stupid for not knowing everything about your car. My friend called the St. Albert location for me to see if they can do a brake fluid flush on my car that same day. My friend experienced the same rude and offensive attitude on the phone but we went to this location any way as Dave said he would be able to do it. As soon as I got there, were told that this service isnt something that we can just walk in and do (his tone was very belittling/ he also failed to mention this on the phone). I thought he would make accomodations, but no, he told us that he definitely could not do it, and that i would have to book an appointment (regardless of what he told my friend on the phone earlier and as usual, in the same condescending tone). One of my biggest pet peeves ever is when people in a specific industry talk down to people for not knowing what (apparently) comes so easy to them. Theres a reason Im coming to you otherwise I would do it myself!!! I took Daves business card only to rip it up seconds later. Definitely not going back to this location. In fact, I phoned Canadian Tire shortly after and they were awesome. I told my friend how sad it is that one individual can ruin the entire reputation of a company.

Im really disappointed in this Kal Tire location. My experience with the front desk staff is that they are not friendly. I dont expect a lot but when I walk in, and am not even looked at or greeted by the man at the counter, it makes me want to just walk out. This has happened more than once so I dont think today is an off day. Its perfectly acceptable to finish what youre doing when a customer comes in but it takes a split second to say "Hi, Ill be right with you". I actually drove from St Albert all the way to the Ellerslie location for my most recent purchase of a new set of Hakkas because I will not support a location that doesnt live up to Kal Tires high standard of service. I love Kal Tire and have purchased several sets of tires from them. Service has always been great at the locations Ive gone to in both Alberta and BC. The St Albert location just needs some work.

They took me in when I didnt , have an appointment. The fixed my tires, checked, and rebalanced them! They were as super nice, and I would recommend them to everyone. *Disclaimer, we where all young kids once, working our first job, please be considerate of them. Young teenagers, will give it right back to you, so take the opportunity to show them what respect, and appreciation looks like. You my be the only one in their lifes that took the time to care. Customer service, starts with us the consumer. Our attitude can really hurt other peoples, or really make some ones day.! We are responsible for the happiness of others too, not just ours.
