The worst experience I ever had with an auto repair shop. What a waste of money. I took my 2005 Mazda 3 to west wind auto repair shop in order to change my rear brake pads. He initially gave me the estimate of $150 to change the brake pads. I was expecting for it to be less since the dealer gave an estimate of $225 including tax. But he said he is going to use TQ ceramic pads which last longer and make no noise at all and being a student, I decided to take my car to Sam’s shop to save a little bit of money. It was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. Within the first few minutes that I was there he increased his price to $250. He didn’t even take the wheel off to measure the pads or anything he just looked at it from outside and he said that it is going to cost more than what he had told me. I told him that he needs to hold his end of the deal and he agreed. It took him two, three hours to do the job. When I was going to pay the $150, I asked him again if he was going to provide a warranty for it. He was so sure about the product that he promised me a 3 year warranty on the rear brake pads. He even wrote it on the back of the receipt that he is going to provide the warranty after 3 years. After just a year and half, the rear right brakes started to make weird noises. It is a noise that the pads make against the rotors to warn you that they need to be changed. AFTER JUST A YEAR AND HALF!!!! I contacted him and explained the situation and all he did was denied that the pads were not new even though they were obviouisly used. His argument was that I have drive the car aggressively and that caused the short life of the rear pads. It didn’t seem to make a difference when I told him that the car was driven only 12,000 KM and 4,000 of those KM where on Trans Canada Highway between Vancouver and Calgary. He also didn’t seem to understand that the front pads and rotors are 7 years old and they are original pads that came from the factory. His only solution was to bring my own pads and he will change them for me. BRILLIANT, like I ever going to go anywhere close to his shop. BOTTOM LINE: He will lower you to his shop with a low Estimate. Once you are there, he will increase the price and if you disagree, he will use his “part supplier” to put a used part on your car. I promise you, in just one year, you will save more money taking your car to another shop or even to a dealer, I promise you. What’s more, Sam scammed me despite both of us being from the same country. Imagine what he is going to do to you.

I gave this shop my car to change the clutch... they first quoted me $770 and after a couple days, the quote went to ~$1000 dollars because it apparently had a special clutch, which they didnt tell me about at first. I agreed to that amount and then they called back and said that the springs on the pressure plate are broken and they need to replace that as well. Then they said to replace the transmission because if the pressure plate is in that condition, the transmission could also be worn out from inside. I finally agreed to that and told them I was leaving the country in 2 weeks and needed the car before that.. They assured me it would be done in a few days. The car didnt get done and the day I was leaving, they told me not to worry and that the car would be done and they would deliver it to my house in the next couple of days. I came back after a month and found out the car was not done, it was towed from outside their shop to the impound yard, then they sent it to some storage.. now they are telling me they will be deducting the cost of impound and storage and they cannot fix car. The car was in their shop and was their responsibility to keep it from getting towed if they couldnt deliver it to me within the time they agreed. I will be filing a complain with BBB (better business bureau), AMVIC (Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council) and Services Alberta. If anyone has had issues with this shop, please register your complains with the above agencies and urge them to do something about it. Ill also be posting this review on BBBs website.

I had a very terrible experience with this car repair shop, I called the shop and i made an appointment with the manager to do a car inspection for a car I wanted to buy, and i agreed for the fees which was 40 $, I went there and inspection started, no body would imagine what they did, one of the guys used the light to check the tires and made a round on the car, period of that check was less than 3 minutes they didnt even open the front hood or tried to hear the engine I was so upset and talked to the owner who seemed very rude to me and said I know my job and gave me a stupid example about how doctors know illnesses without the need to open things ( he meant the front hood), i told him why would you take 40 dollars for doing nothing but still no reply, please dont go to this place thats the best thing I can do so people will never experience this terrible service.

Sam has been our families go to mechanic for the last 5 years. I met him when I had a flat tire and need help right away. He fixed the tire immediately and I was on my way. I recommend him to everyone I talk to when they have something wrong with their vehicles or just need an oil change. After all the work he has done for us he isnt just our mechanic, he is our friend.

Went for a flat tire and made life long friends. Now i go there for everything. Had to replace the engine on my Chevy once. They gave me an estimate and repaired the car in less time and money. Exceptional customer service. Its a small shop but they do know what theyre doing. You dont even need an appointment. Totally recommended!!!

Worst experience with this Auto shop. Rude behavior of the mechanics. Agreed to fix car for a price they quoted and ask to come next day. Next day charge more for same thing with no justification. "It was yesterday commitment "

Worst service I have ever experienced. Replaced tires on my car, but forgot to put screw. I went back to show and he didnt even bother to put a new screw and told me to go to the Auto value to buy new one. Never going back.
