Amazing crew!! I had a fuel line come off while I was driving my son home from school and made a mess of gas everywhere. I was stranded, blocking traffic, no cell phone, no one would stop to help (at first) and everyone was getting angry because I was messing up their day. Two nice men from the City Public Works stopped to let me use their phone and help me get out of the middle of the road for traffic to flow better. The Fire Dept had to come to clean up the mess of fuel and I was going to need a tow. Luckily one of the FD crew was mechanically inclined, knew what to look for and reattached the hose. He then recommended I come see the crew at Smart Auto to get them to check and make sure it was all attached properly and nothing was broken. I arrived at Smart Auto and spoke with Greg who had Grant take my vehicle into the bay and check things out. Grant went over it with me, I verified which hose had come off and he confirmed it was all good, it was just not put back on properly after another mechanic had completed some work but it was back in place now. Grant then washed all the excess spilled fuel from the engine compartment, dried it all up and topped up my Coolant for added measure. Above and beyond in my mind! And then they sent me on my way with a "have a great night!" No charge!!! Thats unheard of these days! After an extremely stressful day, this was just the thing I needed to happily get through my evening and renew my faith in humanity. There are some pretty wonderful people in this city and I was lucky enough to meet several of them yesterday including Greg and Grant!! Thank you!

What a total rip off. Took our truck in and told them that it was the transmission. They insisted on doing a tune-up to the tune of $1000 saying that was all that was needed. They said if that didnt fix the problem then I would need a re-built transmission for another $4000. Ended up calling up the mechanics that my work uses and they said it sounded more like transmission problems and recommended a transmission shop who fixed the truck for $250! Another friend just got their truck fixed at Smart. Initially told it would be $2200 but they found other items and in the end it cost him $3500 and it only took them 3 weeks to fix! Drove it off the lot and the vehicle died 3km away. Limped it back and they said they would need another $1100 for a tune-up. Had it towed to this other repair shop (another $170) and they informed him that 7 of the pistons were blown -- $4400 to fix. Funny how he was able to drive the truck in with no problems. They supposedly did a vehicle inspection and test drive and found nothing wrong. I would not recommend this place unless you have money to burn.

Tired of feeling like dealership garages were raking me over the coals, My 2009 Chev Silverado hasnt had much maintenance done other than oil changes since it has 72000km on it. It now has 195000km so I new some significant service was required. I tried Smart Auto for something different and am very satisfied that I did. They helped me figure out what work should be done right away, and what could be done later on. I never felt for a second like the repairs were unnecessary and the service was excellent. As an added bonus, I felt the cost for the repair was very reasonable, especially given the amount of work done. My truck is running like new. Im a very happy customer and Ill be back for sure!

I was very happy with Tirecraft until now. I called to have some parts quoted quickly over the phone with install for a friend that does not know much about vehicles. They treated me like I didnt matter. I do understand people are very busy but every customer should matter, during the quote stage or the install phase. I am very disappointed I was treated like this and when I emailed to let them know I was disappointed the treated me like I was an idiot. This really surprised me. All in all I am very disappointed and will only be returning to pick up my summer tires in the spring. From now on I will have any and all work done else where and will no longer refer friends and family here.

Kerry, Would just like to express some positive feedback about your group. Last year my son was in to purchase Tires and Rims. You guys were great in informing and helping out. When it came time to buy my Winter tires I have usually gone to Kal Tire down the road. But their service advisor left me feeling like I was wasting their time. So I dropped into your shop where Brad Lameroux helped me out. Brad spent all kinds of time going over the various options available with Tires and future Rims for my vehicle. It was this great service that lead me to switch my Tire Service group. Great work. Happy Customer

I have to tell you about the professionalism and best experience I have ever had at a Mechanic shop. Kerri the owner & Greg and Brad the front counter staff are the most experienced front counter staff I have ever had to deal with. It all started with them putting a new engine in my vehicle 4 years ago and they did not try to rip me off with purchasing a brand new engine and the vehicle is running just great. I would never hesitate to recommend Smart Auto and Tirecraft to any and all of my friends or family. Dont take your vehicle here unless you want to waste your money! We brought our truck in for an out of province safety. They quoted $3,800 for mechanical repairs. We thought that sounded ridiculously high so we went and got another inspection somewhere else. The new place ended up costing $1,300. We gave them the report from Smart Auto and they could not find anything wrong with our ball joint or licence plate light covers. Also Smart was requiring us to repair things that are not covered under a safety. Smart Auto just wants your money and will make extra work for themselves to get it.

Another great experience at Smart Auto! With the winter weather approaching we needed to change over our winter tires and get an oil change. The guys at Smart Auto were extremely helpful and got the job done quickly and on time. BUT... they went above and beyond with their service! Super friendly, knowledgeable, and they explained everything they did. To top it off when I hopped into my car there was a complimentary bottle of water waiting for me. I also know that Kerry and his team do TONS for the community and I always see Smart Autos name as a donor at most events. Job well done!

Customer interactions were great but still cant explain why my car ran worse and is using more fuel than before I brought it in for an ignition service. The brakes were done, front suspension as well as serpentine belt. After a hefty $3000 bill, the car suddenly ran like it was misfiring. It was running just fine before i brought it to Smart Auto. They claim to not have tampered with the car. They decided the plugs and boots needed replacing. Another $200 hit. The car is still not running well and is using more fuel. Not impressed. I feel like I was ripped off huge!
