Ive been looking for a no star selection but I couldnt find one so I decided to be generous. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND ATTITUDE, was treated horribly before I even got into the store (on the phone booked a out of province inspection). Some local everyday mechanic with a cheap attitude problem went furious when I asked a question politely. All I asked was if I can see the car while it is being inspected because Ive heard these hole-in-the-wall shops aggressively drive your car around to "inspect" it. I work hard to pay for my car, and its expensive (2012 Mitsubishi Evolution X). Anyways, so I asked politely for the request, and he had me on speaker with his owner and called me weird for saying that, raised his tone, as if he knew what their term "inspect" means. He also stated I JUST have an evolution and he has corvettes, r8s and ferrarris in his shop lol, evolutions are the most respected rally cars in the world. I dont mean to sound arrogant but by facts, my car can beat most of the cars he has ever inspected or seen on track. The truth is, they dont get those cars, because if they did he would politely respond to me and say I can see my vehicle being inspected or not and I would be happy with that. I dont know if he had a bad day or he hates his job, has a garbage car pointing fingers at hard workers like me who EARNED their high performance vehicles. Get a grip, learn to respect. Maybe he needs an increase in pay. My advise to anyone, your better off inspecting your own car than to get it done from here. His cheap tone explains everything. People like that with a generic attitude and hating on people who have nice cars will NEVER give you good service, even if you ask super politely like I did.

A couple months ago I purchased a vehicle from Right Price Auto and had been told it had been safety checked and that there was no major problems other then it needing a new windshield and a wheel alignment as they had just done some work on it themselves including the hood release. I bought the car expecting only to deal with this problems to not a day after driving it home the check engine light come on... as well I noticed that the LCD display for the climate control stopped working and wouldnt light up at all. I took it back to them and they told me I was using the wrong fuel (said I should be using premium) which after some research I found they were wrong but because they seemed nice I trusted them and kept filling it with fuel they said. They also explained it was just a loose connection they fixed for the climate control LCD. Two weeks later the hood release cable they apparently replaced broke and left me unable to open to open my hood and the LCD stopped working again. Frustrated I took it to a dealer and they fixed it and did a diagnostic on the cars check engine light. They found the right catalytic converter was almost completely plugged and needed to be replaced. So for me this place wouldnt be worth returning to ever nor would I ever suggest it to anyone I know. The parts they seem to use are crap and the service isnt much better.

I have used these guys in the past with positive experiences but I do have to say this. I brought my truck in to get it checked out after installing an engine in it. the truck wouldnt run really well. Apparently "there was something internally wrong with the engine" and it was beyond repair. Well I sold the said truck for next to nothing.... The guy I sold it to said the timing was off 30 degrees and it runs now... So the timing tab wasnt in the right spot for the year of block and the timing wasnt spot on.. had it been set properly, the engine wouldve ran. Just saying right now that a journeyman mechanic should be able to troubleshoot a low tech engine running off a distributor. Just for the record-- a guy who was a journeyman "parts" person outdid every mechanic in your shop.. AND to boot he fixed the problem in 2 hours. You guys couldnt fix it in 2 weeks.... Thats Pretty disappointing and I definitely wont be coming back any time soon.

Most reasonable prices in town for out of province inspection (which I got from them) and best shop price in town. Little dodgy of an area and older looking place but they have renovated a little; although its still looking a little run down all in all its a mechanic shop that does great work what more do you really need. I recently got my brake cable fixed aND I brought in my own part (volkswagen always need tp special order crap) and they had no problem putting it in. I know a thing or two about cars (Ive had to fix lot of cars) and they do not bullshit you around; therefore the idiots who posted terrible things simply cannot appreciate a great place that gets the job done in a timely affordable fashion. They never have charged me for the full shop time I have had my car in the shop and always are fair:) I will continue to take my car to this place as the staff is friendly, respectable and down right awesome !

This shop has the lowest going rate per hour. I though I would save some $ but I soon realized, just because they charge 40% less than everyone else it does not mean they wont just take 40% longer to do the work. I told them what was wrong with my car and they told me unless I was a mech I couldn’t be sure (I tuned out to be right) so I O.K.d a test drive . 5-10km I assumed, right? My speedometer had advanced 65kms. As well My boost controller had been modified to boost from 1psi over stock to maximum levels(7psi+) and I noticed the recorded peak boost was maxed out, which I had never come close to unless I’m flooring it and shifting at 6200rpm. BBB approved? Sure until the day people less lazy than me start faxing formal complaints or they change there name again" This shop is proof the simple concept:” You get what you pay for pay for", is true today more than ever.

I had my car breakdown and the tow truck driver said I broke a CV axle. Common in a lot of Hondas. I asked if he could recommend a mechanic as I had previously been seeing the original car dealer and had had poor experiences in the past. I got a quote from the dealer, (a week wait + $800) a quote from another recommended mechanic ($450 and a couple day wait) and a quote from the Right Price Auto. ($220 and we can do it today) I asked "Whats the catch?" They said, "No catch, parts and labour included." I was driving my car home that afternoon. I tell my friends and family because of the honesty and price. They also notified me of a couple other issues that I knew were a concern, but didnt know exactly what they were as the dealer just beat around the bush. I am NOT going back to the dealer. I found my mechanic that I can trust!

Ive taken my car here a couple times now. The first was to get an out-of-province inspection done. It didnt take very long and it passed so I was pleased with that. The lady at the desk even helped me get everything organized so I could go get Alberta plates. The mechanic recommended that I get new brakes and rotors but it was not urgent and I could still drive it for quite some time before I needed to that. I had a bad experience at one of those "quick change oil places" where they stripped my drain plug and forgot to put my oil cap back on so I took it to Right Price Auto where they fixed all that as well as did my brakes and rotors. The service was timely and the staff there has always been nice to my wife and I. Anyone looking for an Auto shop in the SE should definitely try Right Price Auto.
