Ive only been using these guys to swap tires over on wheels. They are a busy shop which isnt a bad thing. Ive always found them pretty good to deal with on the phone and in person. Up until recently, I was always quite happy with the service I received. The reason Im giving 2 stars (instead of more) is due to my last visit. I brought in a Honda Accord and had to swap one winter tire (damaged) with a spare on to one wheel. At the time I asked if it was possible to make my two sets of wheels with TPMS sensors all be recognized by the Honda computer. They said it should but they werent sure and said theyd check it out. They also said they have a cloning system that they could try. I left my phone number and asked them to call me once they knew what is happening because since the tire would already be off the wheel the best time to do a swap would be at that time. I realize that the shop is busy and it takes time to call but they still could have called. When I came to pick up the car, I had been invoiced for resetting the TPMS sensors (which I never asked for, I asked them to call me with information) and they said to let them know if the other set of wheels wouldnt be recognized by the computer. To make a long story short, I ended up going back again so they could try to reset the TPMS again. They did manage to get the winter wheels to work with the computer but not the summer. They did say they didnt want to mess around with the car anymore but they also said to let them know if the change didnt work. When I called in to ask about even paying them to try cloning they said they werent interested in dealing with my car anymore. I realize that business is business and it is easier to keep customers happy who are a little easier to keep happy. That is fair. At the same time, I have my opinion and Im ranking them based on how I feel. Potential customers can decide what they want to do. Ive been coming here for a few years now but alas... I wont going to Certech Auto again and I wont be recommending them to anybody. Thats life... If anything, I hope that they now realize that they cant get TPMS sensors to work with all Honda TPMS systems.

Seems like others have had the same issue. Took my vehicle in for out of province inspection. I had a work order of a bunch of work done in Sask just a month before it was brought here. They diagnosed worn rotors and loose tie rod requiring a tie rod replacement and wheel alignment. $1,100 quote. I took it to Scenic Acres Husky. They did replace the rotors, BUT, they said the rotors had been turned and were still acceptable, all brake shoes appeared new and the tie rod was tight and in great shape. The steering was fine. I also got an engine shampoo, had the work done, including a new window regulator put in, for under $600.00. Certech is a scam artist. $150.00 for the inspection, plus $1,100.00 plus another vehicle inspection for $50.00. That would not have been a bad haul. I have now had the work done at Scenic Acres Husky and am going to Canadian Tire to get the vehicle inspection. UPDATE: I took the vehicle to Canadian Tire for the Vehicle Inspection. Scenic Acres Husky did not touch the tie rod or do a wheel alignment and the vehicle passed inspection. These guys just were looking for a make work project. Its too bad when you cant trust a neighborhood garage.

Con artists: I brought my truck in to get an out of province inspection. They found complaint with a horn that still made noise, wiper blades that still cleaned my window, as well as a bunch of other issues that upon a second opinion, were not required. This was the beginning of my experience with this shop. The second bad run in was when my girlfriend had her car towed here. I thought the alternator had gone since the car would not turn over (but there was power, ruling out the battery as the culprit). They charged her for a new battery, and fed her a bunch of other BS about needing to replace the discs on her brakes. If you enjoy honest mechanics, go else where. If you like being ripped off and annoying junk mail being sent to you, then CerTech is your shop.

DO NOT TRUST !! I went to ranchlands location for simple tune up and squeal. next day engine light on again I bring in to look at they say spark plug misfire on cylinder 4. why not fix when engine tune day before. i make complaint and they say i not ask for tune up. I was like hello that was 1 of 2 reasons i came in. A guy named Dick at counter is taking advantage of customers. i wrote review before and now is not there it may have been erased by garage company not sure who. stay away go check other companies. small job comes with big problems.

I have been to the shop three times, ranging from oil changes to ball joints, and each time been treated respectfully and honestly, even when i was a little upset with things and took it a little out on Dick. They are willing to go through what theyve found, find less expensive options, and show you anything you want to see. Best of all they can work on a Smart Car which gives me an alternative to the marcedes dealership.

Weve been taking our vehicles to Certech for years, always worked out well for us. The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Itd be more convenient if they worked weekends, but I guess you cant have everything.

Had a vehicle there for a pre-sale inspection at the buyers request. Among other questionable reported issues, they said it needed all new brakes when I had replaced front rotors and pads less than 100km ago.
