Im sure theyre decent mechanics but the customer service could use a lot of improvement. Called ahead to see if they had time to look at my car that day, "Yep, we definitely can see it". Dropped off my car at noon, was told "Were not too busy right now so as soon as the guys come back from lunch around 1 well bring your car in, you should be getting a call from us around 3." 3:30 I give them a call. "Your car is still outside, not sure if we can get to it today." I understand things happen and schedules change so ok, whatever. "If you dont hear from us by the end of the day well call you first thing in the morning" Next day, 9:00 I call them. "Oh your car is just being pulled into the shop." I tell the person (the same one that told me Id hear back from them around 3 because theyre not too busy) that Ive been waiting since 3pm the previous day, to which he replies " Well, and thats why I told you yesterday that were a little backed up and if we cant get to your car that day well see it in the morning." I am pretty dumbfounded at this point. Again, I give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe hes just not a people person (or maybe he has early onset dementia). WHATEVER. To my surprise I actually get a call an hour later (different guy) telling me my fuel pump needs replacement. I ask for a breakdown of costs and I am quoted $70 for initial inspection, $234 for labour, $364 for fuel pump, $20 for filter (total $688). He ensures me that this is what it will cost. He also says he will look into the "miscommunication" that happened yesterday. The next day I go to pick up my car, my total is now $758. I understand that taxes and other fees happen, but its not what he quoted me the day before so I ask where all the extras are coming from. He goes over the invoice with me (pretty unnecessary - Im capable of reading words and adding numbers, thanks) and says "this is what I quoted you yesterday" and "I went over everything is great detail with you", as if he just cant wrap my head around why I am questioning the total cost. To summarize, I felt like I was being strung along with false promises then dealt with in a very condescending way when I wasnt the ideal happy customer. It seems most people have had positive experiences with Auto Select, and Im sorry to say I will definitely be looking for another shop to take my car.

This place is absolutely horrible. Check other reviews around the internet. First off, trying to talk to the receptionist is a nightmare. It is like talking to a brick wall. Every time I call, I think I have an answering machine, then its just silent and I realize its a person. I then explain what I am calling for, and he is just plain useless. Anyway, its close by so I go in and get an inspection done. They set me up with a loaner car which is why I agreed. Tangental to the point, but the loaner car is a complete P.O.S. You would think an auto shop would have a car that is functioning properly, that gave me the first sign of doubt of the competence of this place, should have taken my car back, but I needed to get to work. Anyway, I get the call that my car is ready, I head in and get the cost broken down on what they want to fix claiming it is required for my out of province inspection. What a rip off this was. Everything was completely overpriced. The parts had unbelievable markups. A $100 part for $200, $10 supposedly cost them $150! Then add all the labour they wanted to charge. I paid for the inspection and left right away. I called up the actual auto dealer and got my car taken into their shop. The near $2000 bill they wanted to give me at this place ended up costing under $1000 at the dealer. Havent got it done yet, going to take my car for a new inspection elsewhere because I dont even believe half the things they said were required. When I get an actual list of required fixes, I will definitely be going elsewhere. What a nightmare it is trying to communicate with the front of store. This review cannot even begin to describe. If you find yourself in this store, do yourself a favour and at least call around to find real prices for the work, or at least order the parts online for yourself, save yourself their absurd markup. Second, have a look at their "courtesy" cars. Would you want your car worked on by the guys maintaining those pieces of junk? The door didnt even work properly, cmon.

We moved into the area about a year ago and started looking for a service location that we felt was honest and fair (which seems harder and harder to find). We seem to have struck gold with Harvest Hills Auto Repair. We started off small getting our out of province inspection completed with them and appreciated their friendly and helpful approach even offering recommendations of where to get other work done. Our second vehicle, a 2009 Rondo, started acting up and so based on a positive first contact I went back to them to have them give their opinion on it. They quickly found and fixed the problem at a reasonable rate, explaining the problem fully, and why it needed to be repaired. Ive since been back to have tires changed and a seasonal maintenance done. Several pros about this place. Their mechanics have come out from the back and spoken to me directly when Ive had questions or wasnt sure about something. Fedele, the Service Advisor Ive dealt with, has always been straight forward with me. Even to the point where hes identified upcoming concerns, but recommending that we just monitor them as they arent critical yet and recognizing that I had recently just had a large repair job done. Most auto places I have dealt with in the past have been quick to tell you that you must get work done. It has only been a handful of places that Ive been to that have recommend not to do work now, but to wait based on my usage of the vehicle. These are the places that I try and seek out. They warn you ahead of time of whats coming, but arent afraid to tell you that you dont need to get the work done now. So far Ive been impressed with the staff here and will keep returning to have my vehicle cared for by them.

I knew my vehicle was in need of some TLC but I had been putting it off due to having extremely poor experiences with "Auto Repair Shops" as a single woman. Recently I spotted an oil leak on the garage floor so I knew it could not be avoided any longer and started making inquiries with the staff where I have gone to get my oil changes done. The gentlemen at HARVEST HILLS AUTO SELECT were suggested to me by that local business as they had heard good things about them from their other clients. I took their advice and went to see them. From the time I walked in I felt very comfortable in what was a relaxed but very professional atmosphere. I was given an immediate quote for the work needed and a clearly set time required to conduct the repairs. Although I did not need a replacement vehicle on this occasion, it was nice to know that one was available. I was kept informed of the progress and all other information pertaining to the state of my vehicle. All costs were explained in detail and I was informed of all warranties and benefits that accompany the parts provided. I came away feeling very happy, relieved and grateful to have found a reliable shop that I could feel confident in leaving my vehicle with. The invoice even came out cheaper than the original quote. That is also a first. My vehicle runs like new and I feel extremely confident in its safety now. I will be using these people for as long as I have a vehicle. I recommend these gentlemen to any single female that has had horrible experiences in dealing with this industry on their own. These people have great business integrity and you wont be disappointed.
