I have enjoyed many campgrounds all over Alberta...and I have to say Ghost Lake was the absolute WORST!!! The partying and drunks stumbling through our campsite, police showing up until 3AM. The washrooms were just disgusting ...urine and crap all over the toilets and floors....and the smell ( my wife refused to use them ). Sadly I had to give Ghost Lake 1 star in order to post this but really I give Ghost Lake a - 5 star rating and highly recommend NOT to ever camp there. It is embarrassing to have a campground like this in Alberta....hopefully we do not get people from other provinces or countries staying there because it is a very negative reflection of Alberta.

Not a very nice place to camp, many negative changes over the years. The bathrooms were the biggest deal breaker. I have used a lot of outhouses in my time but these were the most filthy/disgusting outhouses I have ever used. The site operator/owner double charged us on our credit card for our site, but my fiancé didnt get a receipt so we cant do anything about it. This campsite also charges per tent, not site. Which is a bit ridiculous as we had 6 tents and ended up taking up 6 sites for our moneys worth. Really really really cold lake, even during mid July. Will never go back to this site again! Saw a deer though...

The people who work here were great. The lake is gorgeous and clean. There is no actual beach but you can jump in off the dock. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. I understand that they are outhouses but that was awful. They smelled so strong and were full of flies. If you tried to use the toilet your nose would start to burn from the fumes.

its okay, but the boat parking is really un organised, they should create stalls, this would even increase their capacity, cause it isnt very effecent the way they have it set up . cost is alot higher then it should be considering its location.

Used to have this great hillside full of tent spots. Not anymore, good location though, especially if using cabling as an alternative to a hotel in calgary.

The campground is not monitored whatsoever. If you enjoy listening to other people partying all day and night, then this is the place to stay.

Lovely lake, okay campground, not enough trees, great staff, really close to train track which was annoying while trying to sleep.

High prices on products however they usually have what you need to get out of a pinch. Great prices on boat and trailer parking

Great place to sail. Decent launch and usually decent winds. Several nice coves at the west end to tuck into for lunch.
