I bought my 2011 GMC Terrain new at this dealership back in 2010 when it was called Airdrie Motors and my experience was abysmal on all levels...from dealing with a slick salesman who kept incorrectly referring to it as a "Torrent" while admitting he didnt know too much about this particular vehicle. At the time I had nothing but issues with the factory-installed remote start and was basically told it was my own tough luck and that the only solution was to purchase a Smart Phone and download the OnStar App to remotely start my vehicle that way. I refused to step foot back into this dealership, based on principle, until this past October when I noticed substantial paint bubbling and rust to the inside bottom edge/seam of all 4 of my vehicles doors. Upon doing my own online research I learned that this was unfortunately not an isolated defect but was in fact a rather common occurrence in both the Chev Equinox and GMC Terrain. I contacted Davis to explain this issue and was advised to book an appt with their Service Dept, which I did. At this service appt they acted like I was the first customer theyd ever heard of with this issue. I was told that although I had only just barely over 40,000 KM on my vehicle, that repair of the rusting doors would not be covered under base warranty, and that the maximum level extended warranty I purchased at the time of my vehicle would not cover it as it only covered powertrain. I explained that this issue was obviously a manufacturers defect, one should certainly not expect to see bubbling paint and substantial rusting to the bottom inside edge of all 4 doors on a 4 year old vehicle. I was advised by the Service Dept employee I was dealing with that I was basically SOL, and that they sometimes have the discretion to cost-share repairs of this nature, because their records showed that I did not ever return to them to have my regular vehicle maintenance down at Davis, they could not extend this to me -- even though I told them that I had records in my vehicle I could show to them to prove I did have my regular maintenance done, but just not there. They werent interested, told me sorry nothing they could do, bbye. I ended up contacting CMP Chev Buick GMC Cadillac in Calgary and explained the situation. They expressed shock that Davis Chev was so unhelpful and useless. They had me bring my vehicle into them very promptly (to their Auto Body dept) where it was carefully inspected by one of the Auto Body managers, Wayne. He told me that this issue of doors rusting was not at all an isolated incident, in fact, they had a stack of 35 other customers with the same issue -- and that it was a problem so known to GMC that GMC had sent out a specially designed repair tool just for this issue. He advised me that they would absolutely repair this damage, based on Good Will, at no cost to me at all. How great is that, considering I hadnt even purchased my vehicle there. The repairs were done very promptly, absolute top notch customer service on all levels, with every single person I dealt with there (Wayne, Teresa, Doug). Thanks again for nothing, Davis Chevrolet!

This was vehicle #5 for me from this dealership, second vehicle since it has become Davis Chevrolet. I am a pretty hardnosed guy and always believe there is room for improvement but Davis Chevrolet is getting it right! This experience I am sharing below is of my latest purchase of my 2013 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ with GFX package. Shes a beauty! 5/5 on customer service: The entire team was great to deal with. Eunice went over and above with customer service making sure I got into the right vehicle (I changed my mind 3 times....heck I would have given up on me. ) She was patient, is extremely knowledgeable about the products she is selling and if she doesnt know something she finds out for you, trust me I always have A LOT of questions…. Glen and Jeff closed the deal, again very knowledgeable and I found them very personable and pleasant to deal with. Lastly Rick stepped up to the plate and had my best interest in mind. Thanks team!! 4/5 Quality of work: A bit of the hard nose coming out of me here. I had a box cover put on the truck, the drain tubes were installed so the water was exiting inside the box.... I need my tools to stay dry, having the drain tubes exit on the inside of the box kind of defeats the purpose of having a cover if you are going to just drain the water into the box anyways. I bought a few plastic elbows and I rigged up a drain system through two of the plastic caps in the bed. Problem solved. Secondly, granted it was raining but I would have liked to have seen the truck detailed a little better when I picked it up. Again little things like removing the blue covering on the white lettering on the wheels. Trivial yes but I was brought up if you are going to do something right, do it right or dont do it at all. 5/5 Friendliness: Does anyone ever have a bad day at this dealership? If they do you would never know it! I dislike when dealerships pounce on you and push you on the hard sell. However I dont like walking around on a lot for 20 minutes and not being greeted. Its a hard balance and Davis Chevrolet has it just right. 5/5 Overall Experience: OK so here’s the deal. Car dealerships are the enemy right? You must fight it out, battle to the end! Or do you? Is it wrong to have had such a pleasant experience? Seriously I dont think I have had a more pleasurable experience buying a new vehicle than I did with my latest purchase. 4/5 Price Davis Chevrolet will probably be disappointed with me that I did not score them a 5. But if I scored them a 5 they would not work to improve in this area. This will affect me in three years when I go to buy my next new vehicle from them, see how that works :-) Brent

I would never recommend this dealership. Maybe it was because I purchased a used vehicle, or because Im a young woman; either way, not at all impressed. - although Olga was pleasant to deal with, I negotiated with Derek (manager) over the phone and he was clearly pissed off because he couldnt even take a minute to come by and shake my hand and congratulate me when I came to pick my vehicle up. He walked by a number of times and refused to acknowledge me and I am positive he knew who I was. Poor attitude and I dont need to be a sales person to know that business is business. - when I first picked up my vehicle it was poorly detailed, if at all. I had to call back for a redo. - maybe its part of the business not to disclose upfront but when going over financing with Jo, it wasnt until I questioned the financing rate that I realized they were trying to get me in at 9%. I told her I already had a better deal with TD and when doing another review, my rate went down significantly. Even more than I had with my previous vehicle. - I had a flat tire (not repairable) and had tire warranty left and when speaking with Amber (who was very friendly at first) about what they could do, they told me that the tread on all my tires were very bad and I would have to replace all of them. When pricing was discussed, I realized they clearly werent giving me a deal and I was basically paying for 4 tires. So I shopped around and only then were they willing to price match. Once that happened, Amber became unfriendly and was clearly annoyed that I challenged the price. Shortly after they started working on my vehicle she came by and said that apparently they had "underestimated" how bad the tread was and the "good news" was that they only had to replace two. I chose to do all 4 regardless. I doubt that only then did they notice that the tread wasnt "as bad" as they originally thought. On top of that, I was told it would take an hour and having my 10 month old daughter with me, was counting on that being the case. I was there for almost 2 hours and it took 25 minutes for them to "finish up paperwork". I am honestly relieved to not have to deal with this dealership anymore. They werent professional or friendly unless it was benefiting them and felt like they cared more about the deal. Once it was done, they had no reason for my business and that was made clear. They will do whatever they can to benefit themselves and take advantage of people. If they can gouge you somehow, theyll do it. Lost my business and that of anyone else that wants to hear my experience.
