Was really hoping to avoid careless "Canadian Tire" type service by going to a smaller business. Didnt work out for me. Took my car here for a 40pt inspection, then went to switch out my tires a few months later and now have a sheered off wheel stud. They were the last ones to have my tires off so its likely the lug nut was over-torqued or cross-threaded on. I brought it to their attention, as I figured a decent business would fix their mistake at no charge or at least a reduced rate. No can do apparently, so now Im doing it myself, putting in labour and money for parts to fix their mistake. Definitely wont be getting my business again.

I have officially found my go-to primary mechanic! These guys are great. I have been going to Dalhousie auto service for over a year now, they are always very quick to get my car fixed, always provide reasonable prices that I know Im not getting ripped off and are always honest about what is a priority to fix and what isnt. My car recently broke down and it was too expensive to fix but they let me keep the car at their shop until I had the money. I just got the car back and it runs great! Always very friendly and professional, and its awesome that it is a family business. Thanks so much guys!

Dishonest service shop. Brought a vehicle here for an oil change and the up-sell for additional services was obscene. One would assume their mechanic had their best interest in mind but when they drop statements like "your wiper blades should be replaced as theyre quite worn, we can add that to the service package if you like" when the wiper blades were replaced by me not even a week prior, its only natural to second guess their intentions. Thats just one of many. This is one of the most dishonest shops Ive been to in the Calgary area. Would highly recommend avoiding at all costs.

I was really disappointed in this place. I got two "New" tires from them and ended up having to take both of them back, at different times, (having to take time off work) for leaks. The first time, they didnt even fix it because they said nothing was wrong, and when I went to pick it up, it was flat so I had to leave it another day. I also got a brand new power steering system from them costing over $1200, and less than six moths later it is leaking worse than it did before. I am usually pretty easygoing, but I cant really afford to be taken advantage of that way.

These guys are very helpful and know what they are doing. They have kept an 89 Tacoma running over the years for me, including multiple times they have had to hunt down difficult to find parts. Additionally I need to do things as cheap as possible and when I compared prices elsewhere it was almost always the cheapest. I trust their advice completely, and they always make sure to give me plenty of options, so I am always satisfied. Repairs are always done promptly and I would recommend this shop to anybody who needs their car repaired.

Have had good experiences here. Lets be realistic Elijah, if you have a older car its going to need constant repair. Two new tires at a time? Yikes I hope im not close to you on the roads after a snowfall. The C-train is a good alternative eh. I go to certigard for regular maintenance of all systems, and havent had any problems. I used to go to the chevrolet dealer (shaganappi)...they are so rude and incompetent its shocking. But certigard, they dont bullshit and talk to you straight...plus its less expensive. Very refreshing.

Exercise caution. Business dealings at this shop are less than honest. The Mechanic, Joel, quoted $1100 to replace a starter on an 09 Hyundai Santa Fe. He quotes a price of $750 for the "part alone". In fact, the part is available at Auto-Value for $479.75. When asked about 150% price mark-up his explanation was less than compelling. We took our vehicle to a different shop. I would recommend exercise caution if you plan to have your vehicle serviced here.

Through out the past few weeks both my girlfriend and I have had some important maintenance work done on both our vehicles. We both called in the day before and it was booked in for the next morning. Both times our vehicles were ready within a few hours. Excellent service. On top of the that we just had a stranded vehicle due to a water pump failure, these guys repaired the problem within a few hours, once the vehicle arrived. Thanks.

My family has been taking cars here for a long time (~20 years, back when it was certiguard). Its a small and honest shop. Even when cars have been under warranty, I tend to still take them here for regular service, and then only go to the dealership if they find something. Ive had a difficult time trusting some of the NW dealerships, so dealing with Dalhousie Auto really gives us peace of mind.

Clean and honest shop. These guys are very knowledgeable and dont try to sell you on things you dont need. They take the time to explain what is needed without being condescending and are happy to answer questions. I showed up in a panic without an appointment and a flat and had my car back within 3 hours on new tires. Highly recommend from basic maintenance to diagnostics and repairs.

Ive been fixing cars for years, and we took our car in for a simple oil change. What resulted was a $100 oil change with a long list of items to be fixed. All we wanted was an oil change and we brought in our own oil filter. Go somewhere else for your repairs, this shop is expensive!
