DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL SCAM YOU. EDDY, their mechanic was supposed to ONLY run a diagnostic on my friends vehicle and report back to her with a quote and information on what was wrong with the vehicle... so were waiting for a phone call all day and when she calls him because she was sick of waiting he tells her that he already fixed the vehicle.... (this is all without her consent or any paperwork) and charged her for repairs and a diagnosis and a random oil change which she didnt even need. 350 dollars later.... who would say go ahead and do whatever and dont tell me what the issue is or what the cost of repair will be. Had to get the police involved and will be suing... oh and the worst part is the issue isnt even fixed and her maintenance required light is still on. This guy is a crook and a psychopath. He was screaming at me and my friend saying the car was his car now and he knows that the drug dealers sent us (were two small girls in our 20s like wtf)... whatever that means... literally unstable and it would be unsafe for a female to step foot near him. He will try to scam you and extort you by stealing your vehicle refusing to give it back unless you pay him. He is extremely aggressive and I had to call 911because he was acting as if he was going to assault my friend. What kind of person preys on people like that. SO RUDE.

Dont listen to the last post this person is crazy and had the police called on them. The police made this crazy girl that just got out of high school pay for the work done on her car by a good working honest mechanic. When the police arrived she was damaging her own vehicle and tried to tell the police that the mechanic did the damage. Obviously this girl got a harsh lesson in life and reality that work isnt free. You ask for a service to be done then you pay for it thats how life works. Nothing is free... but this crazy girl who just got out of high school didnt realize she cant get free work done on her car and went crazy. This mechanic shop is awesome and has lots of business because its run by an honest hard working mechanic who doesnt rip off of scam people.

Eddie Is Amazing. So incredibly honest and reasonable with prices. He has even walked me through what hes doing and taught me how to fix things myself if I ever had the same problem again. I have never felt like I was ripped off or overpriced on anything before. He has also offered me free advice when I was shopping for my last vehicle! I genuinely advise everyone (especially women who are tired of male mechanics assuming we know nothing and trying to fix things that arent even broken) to visit Eddie and tell your friends about him. Hope you all have as great of an experience with this shop as I have!

Ive been going to Eddie for a couple of years now and thought Id finally leave a review after seeing that negative one a couple of reviews down. This mechanic has always charged me a fair rate and let me know when a more cost effective solution was available. I would without a doubt recommend to anyone to get their car work done at chinook auto repair.

I go to this shop for any and all maintenance on my vehicles as well as any major issues I just though they deserved a review for how awesome they are and affordable, definitely a hidden gem auto shop that doesnt screw ya over and worth a positive review on the web!

Great service, friendly, Eddie just wants to get you back on the road and isnt looking for extra cash for unnecessary work. No bs, Im from ontario and always had my grandfather help me with anything car related, only place in town I trust. Straight up
