I advertised my late husbands truck on kijiji and received a reply from someone posing as a buyer. They asked if they could get it inspected which I happily agreed to because I knew I had nothing to worry about because the truck was next to new and my husband who recently passed maintained his truck meticulously, it was his baby. We agreed at a time to meet at their chosen mechanic. I live about an hour out of town so I had to ask my mother to come with me in case a deal was made and I needed a ride back, I also got a babysitter to watch my two toddlers. When I arrived at the location I was stunned to find out that it was actually a used car dealership, the person I was communicating with made no mention of that, I was lead to believe that he or she was a private buyer. There were a couple of people smoking at the door so I asked one of them if they buy trucks, the lady with a two pack a day habit raspy voice told me to go inside, I thought I was walking into a brothel with all the smoke and the way she was dressed. A man came to me and introduced himself as the owner of the car lot asked me who I was, I said I was supposed to meet someone here to get my truck looked at and buy it, this creepy guy said that this person wasnt here but he would handle me. He took my keys and gave it to a grubby looking mechanic who then pulled my truck into their mechanic. I peeked in and saw another truck in pieces with another mechanic looking at it scratching his head, he looked like a question mark. 15 minutes later the owner came up to me with a list of things that was wrong with my truck and then offered me an amount 4 thousand dollars lower than what I was asking. I refused because I know my husband babied that truck and it had low kilometers on it. I left that place very upset, the whole ordeal was a complete waste of time and seemed very shady, I think they wanted to take advantage of me. This place is a scam and I will never deal with them and steer clear of them.

I bought a Hummer H2 two weeks ago from this dealership. I have lived with large and lifted trucks all my life and I expected this one to be no different. When I received the truck after it had just been saftied I noticed a few problems right from the start including a lot of vibration and roll in the cabin and a few other problems which is not near normal for that size of truck. Two days ago this review would have been 1 star and would have ended with me stating I was going to call AMVIC and a lawyer but they redeemed themselves. I talked to customer service rep, Ian, who quickly admitted that mistakes were made and he immediately began looking for solutions. During my way home to banff on the trans canada I was very scared in the truck. For the first time in my life a truck had scared me because I thought it was going to roll even at a measly speed of 90 km/h. This caused me to immediately lose trust in the vehicle. I made it clear to Ian that I could no lover drive the truck and that I wanted my trade in back and that I would accept any cost associated with that and once again he immediately started looking to make that a reality for me while making keeping the cost as low as possible. The simple fact that they are being extremley helpful, kind and understanding and doing everything they can to help even though Im getting my old vehicle back makes up for everything else. I usually judge based on first impressions but they have been outstanding and the fact that they are willing to step up to the plate to fix their mistakes is what earns them 5 stars.

Bought a vehicle from this dealer, when I went to pick up my truck promised headache rack and toolboxes were not installed. Gave them an extra week to get the vehicle ready and they still couldnt do it. Had to pick truck up without the stuff but was promised it would be done as soon as materials arrived. Truck had no gas in it, barely made it two blocks to the nearest gas station. Then they ignored me for a month until I stopped calling and showed up to complain, the rack and boxes came in a week later. When I came in to get them installed they put them in the back of my truck and said the installation was my problem. Took the truck for its first oil change and the fluids in the truck were all bad and had been for a while. Took it for an inspection and was handed a work order for $3800 in repairs that were needed to be done on the truck. Surprising since the truck was supposed to have had full mechanical done on it. Their inspection sheet isnt worth toilet paper. I wouldnt recommend dealing with these people.

Went for an out of province inspection - the company outsourced the work to Victor, a very sketchy, unreasonable man with a temper. Charged us $100 because he didnt have the proper equipment to remove a stubborn lug nut. Claimed we needed new wheel bearings that could only be purchased in a set with hubs that would cost $185 which - wheel bearings that we found available for purchase for $79 each. Called Victor to tell him we could not afford the extra charge to take off the lug nut, Victor lost his temper, told me he would not release the car to me, and hung up in my face. Checkered Flag Auto claimed they had nothing to do with Victor, so their hands were tied and they couldnt help us. Absolutely deplorable experience. PLEASE do not take your car here.

Bought a truck last year with 50,000km on it and was only two-year old. Took it to my personal mechanic and he was shocked that it even passed inspection. Ive owned it for less than a year and dumped almost 5,000 dollars into it and have a list of other things that need tending to, for stuff that should have been done before it even left the lot/shouldnt have been worn that bad that fast. I tried getting in contact with someone there and got a "well look into it" email... That was six months ago. All I know is I am extremely disappointed with the service. Would never recommend these guys to anyone. If you see this, you guys can tear up the picture you took of a "satisfied " customer.... As I am definitely not one.
