I should have read Google reviews before I took my car there. I finally picked up the car three days after it was promised. On the day promised they said they had to do a wheel alignment and wash the car. At least the outside was cleaned. The inside was not. As I was driving home I noticed a large crack in the passenger side of the front window. This crack was NOT there when I dropped the car off. I phoned Carstar. They tried to put me off by saying they took pictures of the car before it was fixed. Then they accurately described the crack. I told them I was coming in to see the pictures and to return the car. I took the car back. One guy took a quick look and said "it wasnt us." He did not even know where they did the repairs on my car. I told him and another man that they worked on the two passenger side doors. The other guy said this can happen when they are working on the doors and can be due to heat changes in the work shop. The first guy said I must have had a rock chip. There was not any rock chip prior to me bringing the car to Carstar. There was also no evidence of a rock chip that had spread when we looked at the windshield. They asked me to wait. Then the first man said the technician that dealt with my car was not in that day. He said he would phone me the following day but did not know my name when I asked. I gave him my name but he did not write anything down. He told me to take the car and not leave it. I never did see the pictures. (Obviously they knew the pictures showed nothing and that crack was present when they returned the car to me.) I emailed my insurance agent to complain. The next day Carstar phoned and agreed to fix the windshield. I had to wait and book another appointment. They said it would take two hours but it took all day. When I went to pick up my car there was a small dent in the rear bumper that was not present previously. Honestly, I was so fed up, I just took the car and left. The dent is small and I am not going to get it fixed. DON"T TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!!!

Absolutely by far the worst experience I have ever had with any company. Mid September I went for hail damage, needed a new roof on my truck. Got my vehicle back with paint over spray on my window as well as one side of the roof drip trim hanging off, grease marks all over the entire headliner. Granted the trim was repaired, as well as they shampooed my headliner to remove the grease prints. But it looked like they took a wire brush to most of the panels thinking it was a shammy. Horrible deep scratches. I was told that it wasnt in the best shape when I brought it in and referenced several pictures of small scratches..... So they wanted to polish it. Absolutely the worst polish job. Didnt use enough compound and slightly burnt my clear coat causing holograms of where the polishing wheel was used. At least they only attempted to repair small sections of the worst scratches. Carstar admitted they couldnt handle the repair... Scratches? At a body shop??? So they attempted to send my truck to another establishment to repair the scratches. Didnt want to use my preferred detailing shop as they said it was too expensive.. The manager never once phoned me to handle the situation. Nobody cares, they are fed work from insurance and that is good enough for them I guess... I ended up speaking about my frustrating experience to my insurance company and showed photographs and ended up taking my truck to my preferred shop and just got it back today. Looks brand new!! Please, if you respect your time and especially your vehicle, do not bring it to this shop.

What a horrendous ordeal. I was in an accident through no fault of my own and the combination of a radio silent insurance company and this carstar location made the experience that much more upsetting. They had my car for almost two months and updated with snippets of information only when we sought them extensively. Whenever we checked in they said they were waiting on parts or had received damaged parts, when they hadnt even forwarded us the information about the extent of the cars damage in the first place. Worse still, they informed my insurance company that the work on the car with finished when in fact they were still waiting on a part to arrive, so my insurance company stopped covering my rental vehicle and landed me with a hefty charge. They seemed pleasant and empathetic when I went to pick up the car but it was much too little too late. I dont understand why they couldnt have been upfront and communicative from the get go in order to put my mind at ease after a traumatic accident. For a company whose motto is to erase accidents, all they did was make a bad situation worse. Im getting the car double checked elsewhere at my own expense because I have no way of knowing the quality or extent to which they repaired my car.

Carstar did approximately $9000 repairs to my vehicle. Within 15 minutes of driving the vehicle, I noticed that i had some issues with my mirrors, with a very high revving in the engine - improperly installed belt? and my windshield was severely cracked. I called immediately. When we returned the vehicle, Carstar immediately denied that any of the issues were caused by them. They then agreed to repair the belt, promised to contact my insurer about the windshield (and didnt) and instructed us to go to Lexus to fix the inside controls for the mirrors. They denied responsibility even though it had been working prior to taking the vehicle to Carstar. Very disappointing response and service. Some of the employees care about customer service, one of them, who sits behind the receptionist is particularly rude and should be avoided. I would not go back and not recommend.

Absolute worst vehicle service I have ever received. Went in for repairs and a polish, and the vehicle came back to me with deep scratches all around the body. Then when I complained about the joke of service conducted, they tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with the repair. I was given a loaner car and told to bring it back before the service was redone or else I would be charged. At this point I was steaming with rage and forced Carstar to pay for the service to be corrected at another shop, because clearly they were incompetent. They offered to send my vehicle to one of their preferred third party shops to complete the work, but when I called that shop for more information, I was informed they dont actually offer the service I needed. Carstar can only be described as incompetent, dishonest and lazy. Good job guys.

After 16 days in the shop, I got my car back with dent fixed, and a major electrical problem. Now maybe this just happened all by itself, or maybe it was something they did. Ive gotten some expert advice that suggests it was probably the latter. They were willing to pay, provided I take the car to the dealer, and the dealer found proof it was their fault. What a joke. How could the dealer ever prove that? And even if they thought it was Carstars fault, why would they say it. Carstar is a significant sized customer of the dealer, and I am not. So, if you chose to do business with them, better hope things go smoothly. If they do not, they will fight back hard, and the odds will be stacked against you.
