DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS LOCATION! Terrible customer service from the man behind the counter named Moe. Had an attitude with us from the beginning when we arrived at 8AM. He told us there was no reservation under our name even though we called in advance and when we had called they failed to give us a reservation number. Then he told us that that they had no vehicles available. We asked him to find out about another Budget location if they had one for us and he said NO because he would then have to call them and since he already had his customer list he didnt want to call around but instead suggested we go to Hertz! Upon further investigation we realized he had gotten the reservation name wrong he had put the correct first name but a different last name that was similar to the one. He didnt believe it was our reservation until he called the contact number, which was ours. He gave us attitude and was not helpful and not empathetic to the situation nor helpful nor made any attempt to help. He told us to come back in an hour ( we were leaving at 9 AM for a camping trip) so coming back in an hour to get our reservation because he didnt have the name right would have been a gross waste of our time. His apathetic demeanour and defensiveness at getting the reservation wrong is enough reason to not go to this location ever again. Ill take his advice next time and go to Hertz for my car rentals from now on.

They dont even deserve 1 star! I was misinformed numerous times both on the phone (multiple reps) and in store about price and conditions of how to pay the deposit. My card didnt go through and instead of telling me that the agent gave me my cards back and started helping someone else. 10 min later Im still at the counter I finally asked why Im still sitting here (I need to leave town for work) then they decided to tell me my card didnt go through. Instead of apologizing for his mistake the agent decided to give me attitude. I asked to pay cash they dont take cash I asked to pay with a visa debit they dont take visa debit! I got home made some phone calls to my credit card company to find out my card is fine and there was enough to cover the cost of the rental, the agent didnt give me the machine to key in my PIN number... If you want good customer service this is not the company ESPECIALLY location to go through. I spent the whole morning upset cause I thought they cost me my job.

This is a truly crappy place to rent a car. They will give you a firm quote with taxes and everything then when you return the car they try to charge you hundreds of dollars more than they quoted. We walked in while a customer from Australia was arguing with them about being overcharged. When it came to our turn we found the same thing. The manager there seems to not care whatsoever about the customers concerns. He is easily the coldest person I have ever done business with. He practically snickers while you tell him your concerns. The day we were there, they were busy so one of the attendants asked another attendant if she could help. She smugly replied "im on a break" and walked away. The name budget is so misleading its hilarious. They are by far the most expensive rental place in Calgary. Save yourself some money and headaches by going to another dealer like AVIS. If you like Crappy, cold hearted customer service, then visit Budget on Macleod Trail.

We had to rent a car to go to Saskatoon for my MIL birthday... The agents were courteous and got us out of there within 15 minutes from the time of our arrival. The car was new, clean and fantastic on fuel. We received a great rate with unlimited klicks. After we checked the vehicle in, we were charged only what we were quoted (no hidden fees or charges) We were given a ride home in the courtesy vehicle. I read the reviews here before we rented. We were very skeptical, however, our personal experience was nothing even close to what the others have reported. We purchased the insurance and roadside assistance, just in case, which I would also recommend, unless your credit card company provides it. Worth checking into... Would highly recommend and we will be using them again.

Terrible service. They were supposed to be open at 7am. I was there waiting and they opened at 7:15am. The office was freezing cold and they took over half hour to process my prepaid reservation which I had booked online. There systems are antiquated and slow. The agent came out to inspect the vehicle which was covered with water from condensation. I had to suggest squeegeeing the car so he went to get a squeegee and then did a very poor and slow job wiping off some of the water. A windshield chip was missed. I hope I dont get charged for it. In summary, very poor service and very slow! Getting through to them by phone is nearly impossible - talk to recordings only.

Couldnt tell you much on the actual rental, cant even get a hold of someone for a truck rental, i was transferred 10 times, and ended up back up to same Calgary number THAT WONT ANSWER THE PHONE EVER. To top it off, their shittay ass website gives "location not found" "location not found" These are god damn locations supplied by their own site, for their own stores, and you cant even get past step 1 on making a reservation online, completely useless company

I rent from this location almost weekly for work purposes. All the staff is great but Shay and Rachelle go above and beyond with making things go smooth for me. Im on the road quickly and effortlessly. As my vehicle needs often change from week to week they always do a great job of ensuring Im in the right vehicle. Their warm and polite personalities make the experience enjoyable. Theses two ladies go above and beyond each week.

Had quite a day after renting from these guys. Had an accident just one hour after receiving the vehicle. We got back to this location stressed out about both the car and our delayed trip. Xuhaad and Shay were the best customer service reps we could asked for. They explained the process very patiently to us and we left the location with a better car in less than hour! I cant thank them enough! Cheers

Pre-paid for my rental, was not going to accept the optional insurance, however the manager told me it was only $25. Ended up paying double for my 4 day rental because the manager failed to mention it was $25 per day. In the end, Julie was able to rectify my situation and took my feedback seriously and offered to make things right. Will return for future business with this location.

First time I have ever not had a bad experience renting a vehicle from budget. Only problem I had is that like usual the people on the phone when I booked it had absolutely incorrect information about the actual locations policies. They stated a bunch of limitations that made us not want to rent from Budget that ended up all being wrong when we actually picked up the car.

The worst costumer service ever. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SIGN WHERE THEY ASK FOR INSURANCE. Insurance adds more per day than the cost of actually renting the vehicle. In fact they will not offer you the option to take insurance on the vehicle but will simply mark Xs next to the places to sign. READ CAREFULLY AND DO NOT SIGN THE SPOT FOR EXTRA INSURANCE.
