AVOID this shop like the plague. If I could give this place a zero I would. First of all, I have over 15 years of experience as an auto technician so Im well aware of what mechanical condition my car is in. Second, it wasnt my choice to bring my car to this shop, it was a young potential buyer of my car. I reluctantly agreed to bring my car to them as I know that there is a reason why our profession has such a bad rep and I honestly cant trust any techs as far as I can throw them, INCLUDING the ones Im employed with. This shop provided a laundry list of repairs that needed to be completed on my car totaling $4000. Next to NONE of which were founded: 1. Oil was VERY low and dirty - Checked when got home and was at full line and light brown in color. 2. Coolant was VERY low - Coolant was in between hot and cold line in overflow. 3. 3 brake calipers were leaking - I have no idea where they got this one from... there was NO evidence of any leakage when I checked myself. Perhaps the tech saw road salt on them which appeared to be a leak OR the residual caliper grease I put on the back of the pads to reduce noise. Poor diagnosis skills on the their part. 4. Power steering pump making noise. Yes, it does when its really cold... it was -20C overnight! 5. F/R coil spring broken - NOT broken when checked!? 6. Heater performance - Only partial heat - Absolutely not the case. This car has some of the best heat out of any car Ive owned. I also JUST replaced the termostat. I suspect they didnt even let the car warm up. 7. R/F wheel bearing play - I dont know where they got this one from. 90% of the time the design of this hub type do not manifest themselves in failure by having play, you can tell by high pitched humming noise. Needless say there was NO play whatsoever on this side. Alarmingly enough, there WAS play on the left side from a loose axle nut, which was not mentioned at ALL on the inspection report. This is literally a 2 minute fix, which I promptly completed. This is just the beginning, there were plenty of other items but these were the most critical. Its absolutely shameful that this type of thing happens. Not only has this shop wasted my time, but also the young gentlemans money who brought it to them. AVOID this shop!

I was extremely disappointed in the service and treatment I received at Oakridge Auto in Calgary Alberta Canada. After they replaced my brakes, rotors and calipers, my rim and tire were left a rusted out mess. My leather seats and floor were dirty as no paper or plastic was laid down when they were driving or getting in to my truck. When I called the owner Tyler to speak about my disappointment, he told me that this was normal after having calipers replaced and that my rim and tire were now burnt?!?!?! He went on to tell me that this is normal and there is nothing they could do about it. So, I called three dealerships and a local auto body shop, and received completely opposite information. I then called Oakridge auto back. Tyler told me to bring my jeep back and they would do their best to get it back to normal. After three hours of scrubbing my rim and tire myself, three trips to Oakridge auto, several phone calls and emails, they offered to clean my rim and tire. When I went to pick it up after that, my rim and tire were back to normal, my wheel well has been left a mess which I had to take it to another dealership and pay to have it cleaned. Under no circumstances would I ever ever bring my truck back to this place. I was under the impression that they were a wonderful local shop who offered amazing service and quality work. Its the exact opposite. Im embarrassed to say I ever went there and I never received an apology, wasnt just made to feel like I was a pain in the butt. I feel that when you drop a vehicle off it should be returned in the same shape or better than you left it. Beware, this is not the case here. Sadly disappointed!

Stay Away!! These guys are complete scam artists. Like the other fellow, I know they magically find things that are wrong during an inspection, like "leaking power steering fluid" - theyve pulled that one on two vehicles that I know of. On my van I changed the cap, which was clearly loose, on the power steering pump and have not had to add a drop in 5 years since their "diagnosis". When I gave my mum my old car they also managed to find $1500 in "necessary repairs", even though I had had full maintenance done on it there less than 2000 km prior. The latest thing they pulled was to crank my lug nuts so tight on the back end, after I turned down hub replacements due to worn bearings, that a buddy and I spent about two hours trying to get them off. Funny thing is that over-tightened lugs on this particular vehicle can cause your bearings to go. They quoted my $900 and I did the work myself in about 30 minutes for just over $200. The lug nuts on the front of my vehicle magically all came off with ease. As I said, stay away!!!!!!!

I heard about Auto Select thru a good friend of mine who regularly gets his car service thru them. My car just hit the 100K mileage mark and is in need of some repairs and preventative maintenance. I decided to give them a call one day and get a quote for the services my car needed. A rep from the shop called me back the same day to give me my quote and I was delighted to find out that they can save me some money and still do all the required work with quality parts. I ended up getting my car serviced by them as it was more budget friendly than the pricing the dealership gave me for the same work. My car is in excellent mechanical condition right now and I could not wait to do some long distance driving this summer break knowing that I have peace of mind that my car will not break down on the side of the highway. Overall, I think they did an amazing job from start to finish and I would highly recommend this shop to my friends and family.

being new to Calgary it was very hard for me to find a shop to get my car fixed. After much research i did what most people did and went to the place that quoted me the best price. Very professional, they didnt find any "extra" things wrong with my vehicle or charge me more for frivolous things, i now recommend to all my family and friends

I took my car here after she started making a strange noise when accelerating. I was hesitant being female and knowing mechanics are notorious for ripping off women. This was not the case with these guys. They were quick, pleasant, and most importantly, honest. I wouldnt hesitate to bring my car back here.
