This was a truly awful experience! My daughter had a small fender bender with a cement barrier because she needed new front tires. She didnt know where to take her car so randomly chose Midas. The technician who called her later was rude and ignorant. She passed the phone to me as she didnt know what to say. He told me flat out that she needed a new car as this one was completely unsafe to be driven. I thanked him and told him I would pick up the car in the morning. When i arrived in the morning, the technician Dustin would not release my daughters vehicle to us as he deemed it unsafe. I explained to him that he didnt have the right to do hold her car. I just wanted to pay my bill and leave. I was told to leave the shop 3 times and was treated extremely rudely. I have never in my life had this type of customer service. After 30 minutes, the technician was eventually told by his head office that he was required to release my car and have us sign a waiver, which we gladly did. My daughter now has 4 new tires from a different business in town, who did a full check of her car and deemed it safe. This morning I received a call from the Police. The technician reported us as having been involved in a hit and run!!! This is so beyond any thing i have ever experienced. I strongly recommend staying away from this business. Not worth taking any chances.

Took vehicle in for oil change, asked that they check on some noises coming from the dash and the engine, Identified one correctly. However when I picked the vehicle up they joked about the problem being below their skill level, and didnt seem interested in making the repair, because it was in a difficult position to get to under the dash and would cost to much for a such a small problem, so didnt get it fixed, and honestly I dont know if they even looked into the other sound. I made a suggestion on what it could be, and they just ran with it. Im no expert, this is why I brought my SUV to you however I can tell when it is making a noise that is not normal, my expectation is that you will know what is normal and what isnt. I will not be returning.

I had the absolute best experience here. I got totally screwed over by Canadian Tire, and ended up needing a tow. Midas just so happened to be the closest shop and thats when I first talk to a gentleman named Shawn. He was absolutely amazing. Even though they were super busy he really made me feel like a priority and really went out of his way to help my situation. Between him and Bailey, they went above and beyond to get me an in-depth assessment of the problem, fix my car brand new and give me a really great deal on it too! I love the warranty on their work and the fact that I got free road-side assistance for a year. I have, would, and will recommend this shop to all my friends ! Thanks guys!

What a great bunch of people to deal with! Went in because I was told I had a leaking shock absorber and it turned out that I also needed new struts. They then thought they had detected I needed tie rods but when they went to align the car it looked like the rods were fairly new. (I had bought this car used a couple of months ago and had been told some front end work had been done on it). It ended up the tie rod was barely screwed in and could have come loose at any time. They were able to just screw it in and do the alignment without replacing it. HONESTY and GREAT SERVICE.......WHAT A COMBINATION!!!!

First time Midaser. Yeah, I didnt miss much. Made the mistake of waiting at the shop as the work was supposed to only take 1hr. Well dont sit and wait for your vehicle, because the time youre booked in means nothing. Booked in for an appointment, waited for 2 hours before they put the vehicle in the bay. I was certain that the purpose of booking a time was so you could plan your day (if from out of town, decide to make arrangements to go and come back) however this is not how they operate here. So far the Midas Touch to me feel more like a colonoscopy. Thanks Midas!

I live in northern Alberta and my daugter is going to college in Red Deer. Her car broke down and she was extremelly worried, I am a mechanic but I am also a long way away. I had her tow the car to Midas, it was close to where she broke down. She called them they made her feel a little more relaxed they also spoke with me and made me feel better. They are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. As a mechanic it is hard to let someone else work on your daugters car but after this experiance I would not hesitate to send her back.

Car broke down driving through to Edmonton, hesitantly got stuck taking my car here since every other shop was busy. Long story short, after about 4.5 hours and 500$ later they were unable to even identify the problem. Ended up taking it back to Edmonton where my real mechanic was able to identify the issue was with the ignition coil in under five minutes. Anyways people, find a good mechanic and stick with them, avoid these shops!

Have gone to Midas twice now for tire troubles. Both times I was in a hurry, flipping out, and in general need to have professional and honest service. They were FANTASTIC! They calmed me down, got the job done in under the time quoted, and didnt talk to me like I was stupid just for being female. Great shop and have recommended to friends and family multiple times!
