I had a rental here for a few weeks in January. The rental was covered by two insurance claims. I denied their own "protection plan" because I wasnt paying for something I thought was a scam in the first place. A month after returning the vehicle I get a bill for $110 for the protection plan and $60 rental fee because I apparently returned it "late". How could I return it late when its paid by two insurance claims? So I went in with the bill and was assured it would be "taken care of" and that I didnt sign for the Protection Plan. Several months go by I think it was all settled. WRONG!! Four months after the bill I get a charge on my credit card for the $110! Yes, they manually charged my card! After consulting with my CC company they tell me to go in and talk with them. I do and I get refunded around $47 for the Protection plan and the lady says she will straighten out the $60 for the rental. Weeks go by and nothing. I call my insurance company and they say theyve talked to Discount and I will get the refund. Now over 8 months removed they have charged my card again manually except for $115!!! Even more than the original amount they fraudulently took!!! I have now cancelled my credit card and am calling the police to resolve this. I have NEVER been ROBBED before by a rental company. BEWARE! I have rented from other places in town and had great experiences. These guys are crooks.

After my car accident I was very shaken and Discount Car Rental in Lethbridge is who my insurance company uses while they determine if your car is salvageable or a total loss. Using Discount Car Rental is the ONLY POSITIVE experience that I have had with my insurance company (Aviva). They have been a bright light during this stressful, confusing, and difficult time. Sharon and Heather make renting a car feel like youre dealing with family. My family and I have rented vehicles from various car rental places in the past when we travel as a family. We have always rented from these corporate feeling companies who are rarely even civil to us. WE WILL NEVER RENT FROM ANY OTHER CAR RENTAL COMPANY! Sharon and Heather are very knowledgeable and considerate. Discount Car Rental is the best place to rent a car, truck, or van, hands down! If you want to rent a vehicle from a kind and friendly rental company choose Discount. **If you enjoy dealing with corporate douche-bags, then by all means, choose another company**

Let me start off by saying, Id give 6 stars if I could. I showed up to Discount Car Rental in Calgary with a missing license and and 2 days of business meetings, 2 hours away in Lethbridge. The manager of the Calgary branch, Crystal, gave it 30 seconds of thought and knew she could help. She had her driver David personally drive me to Lethbridge. The obvious question remained, "how will I get back" I asked.... Crystal called in a favor from a good friend of hers.... the branch manager at the Lethbridge Discount Car office. Sharon (aka: the baking ninja) was more than happy to turn it into a road trip and drove me back to Calgary 3 days later. Never in my life have I come across this level of customer service. I will recommend this car rental shop to all!

I made corporate reservations through Sharon. They are not located at the airport, and after doing a presentation in the area our staff had very little time to catch their flight. Sharon told me she would personally meet our staff at the airport upon arrival, and meeting them again at the end of their stay to pick up the car. They were able to work with me to have my credit card billed and remembered to email me a receipt for my records. In short, I found them very polite and accommodating with planning, and the staff came back raving about the customer service they received. I would highly recommend this location.

This Discount location, particularly Sharon and Heather have pulled my butt out of problem situations twice now. The first time was last September when UHaul shafted us on a moving truck that left half of my stuff sitting in Olds. The second was this weekend when we had to get to Calgary for a Day Out with Thomas, but my car was broken down and so I couldnt get in to pick up the vehicle, so they actually took their personal time to bring the car to me. I would go way beyond highly recommending them and suggest that they be your first and only stop when you need to rent a car or a truck.

The employees( specifically sharon) are amazing here. Ive rented from discount personally when my vehicle was hit and for business purposes. Every time you go in they meet you with such kind and warm greetings and are always wanting to make sure each on of their clients are satisfied with the experience. Sharon makes getting a rental an easy and wonderful joy to do business with. Any questions Ive ever had shes always answered with nothing but professionalism and courtesy for each person. If I could give more stars I would! Thank you discount team for all the help over the years! !!

The thing that impressed me the most with your employee Sharon was that she has the best Customer Service within this company. If I would be able to give her a higher rating than 10 I would give her a 30. She is the best employee your company has ever had. Sharon would bend over backwards to assist each and every Customers needs. If she doesnt have a vehicle a Customer needs she will do whatever it takes to get the best vehicle to make each and every Customer happy. By doing this those happy Customers will come back again and again. A real BIG BRAVO to SHARON!!!

Just like the other comments I also had excellent service. I appreciate getting a phone call confirming that they did receive the reservation from Carstar days before I was to pick up the car. They even called the day after I picked up the rental to make sure it was working out and if I had any questions. Thank you for picking me up from Carstar and then driving me back when my car was all fixed. Really friendly and genuine staff :)

A great place to rent a vehicle I rented a Dodge Ram 2500 for a vehicle move they included a great km allowance in the price and it was the best price in town by far, Sharon the front of desk lady was great so helpful and kind and very pleasant to deal with. I give 100% recommendation to use these guys great service.
