WORST RENTAL PLACE AT THE EDMONTON AIRPORT We rented from them over Christmas cause they were the least expensive. Got a car easily, no problems. Went to our place in the city, locked it up turned it off. Next morning came out and the car would not work, in fact nothing worked, key would not even read the car as it was keyless system. I Called the front desk at the airport they told me to call Budget road side assistance ( which is another nightmare in itself) to help out I would have been on hold for 2 to 3 hours. Sure is safe if you are stuck somewhere in the winter. The front desk told us after much arguing and useless information including " Heat up the Key fob." That they were going to send out a new vehicle and they did. Two guys showed up to give us the new car and looked through the dead car and said to me that there was no reason that the car should have broken down and that it was the car that was the problem not user error. So after our trip I go to return the car and they bill me with a 207 dollar "one way fee" because they had to drive 20 minutes into town to give a less junk car. So I ask the front desk guy why and he told me that he has no idea and that I would have to speak the manager who was in the back room. So I said sure, manager never came so he said he would call in a half hour. An hour later I get a bit impatient, and go back down to see the manager. Finally find him and he told me that the glove box was open and the light from it that killed the battery ( Which it wouldnt unless the battery was already on the rocks) we told him no It was from getting the rental agreement out to call them and that there guys had gone through it too and that they are fishing to blame us for it. The manager gave us some banter telling us that we would probably not get charged for the vehicle and that the charges can get turned around at any time. Pretty much so he could send us on our way. We flew out the next day and got home to an email saying that they are sorry but we were at fault and we will have to pay. So all I can say is stay away from the Budget at the Airport. They are not privately owned they are owned by a bigger corporation so there is no one to call when they start extorting people for money. And the Emergency Road side Assistance is a useless waste, never call them, they will probably charge you minutes for the call. NEVER GO TO BUDGET!!!!

Thieves. Dropped my car rental off. No attendant was there to drop the car off to. Realizing I had forgot my gps I called first thing in the morning. After dropping my car off at 9pm the night before. 1st call they tell me nothing was cleaned out and noted. As well they would try to call the current renter and see if it was there. No call back after that. 2nd call. Asked if it was a garmin they said they had 2 there. Put me on hold and all of a sudden said no nothing was there. And they would check back another location and call back. 3rd call lost and found is closed. Someone will return my call. Of course no one calls back. 4th call. Same excuse as above. Then I have been assured a manager would call back. Its been 3 days. So yes my bad for not double checking. But the one person says they pride themselves on trust and they dont steal. I can certainly say they do.

Excellent team, reception and clear explanation both to the reception of the vehicle and giving back. Unobtrusive extra insurance try to quit but clearly indicate what could possibly be additional insured. Class. 1 small focus point was that the car was not completely cleaned. But if I come back to Edmonton I rent again at this location.

Heres why Budget earned a five-star rating from me on my recent trip to Edmonton: 1. I was greeted promptly and pleasantly at the counter. 2. I was able to reserve the exact specific vehicle I wanted online (rather than play the "what will I get?" game at the counter. 3. I was able to save money by entering my payment information up front. 4. The rate I was given was better than anything else I could find - even on Hotwire and Priceline 5. I had a problem with my vehicle (an engine light). I was promptly given a replacement car (the exact same type). 6. Vehicle drop-off was speedy, professional and efficient. I will be renting from Budget again.

Sketchy service, charged for many items that were not requested and billed more then what was on initial order. Beware of any upgrade scam as well as it is not a deal theyll charge you full rate opposed to the upgrade charge they quote. Initial rental agreement had me paying a total of $208.93 for my rental, I returned exactly as planned, on time and my final bill was $436.07! Of course when renting from an airport you normally dont have much time between dropping car off and getting on your flight so there is very little time to meet with a representative to dispute the bill you just received. Avis and Budget are the same operation at airport.

Have rented from Budget for over 1 1/2 yrs now, recently started renting from the airport and have found the staff to be friendly and professional. Upgrade of the vehicle was offered at no additional charge. The service was fast and efficient, highly recommend Budget for their service, the staff and excellent rates. One can receive lower rates if booked and paid in advance on-line. Thanks Budget for Great service, rates and friendly, professional staff. See you soon.

We had an overall good experience renting from this airport location. The only drawback for us was finding the vehicle parked in an area of the parkade which was not lit brightly enough to thoroughly inspect it inside and out before departure. We moved the car beneath a light, which was marginally better and allowed us to identify scratches and paint chips, but still not ideal. The vehicle, however, was clean and in very good driving condition.

This Budget location provided service above and beyond. I had made the reservation from the Air Canada Web site and never thought to check the Pick Up Location, assuming it would be at the airport location. As it turned out, it was actually a downtown location. The reception made the change for me and, although the location could not match the Web site price, she did come within a couple of dollars of it. This was most appreciated.

I am a Fastbreak member, which helps in picking up the vehicle quickly. I found the lady at the front to be very courtious and helpful. Pick-up and drop-off was super quick, car was in good shape (Chevy Cruze). Car was decent, excellent value for the money spent. Only thing is that once it gets cold staff need to remember to put in snow brushes and ice scrapers in the cars. Minor comment but would be definitely appreciated.
