Took SUV in to get 4 new tires and brakes. Took 2 days to try and figure out how to do the brakes. When I picked it up the owner said the brakes will feel off for a bit cause they are "new". Applying breaks there would be nothing then all of a sudden they would kick in. Took to the dealership, turns out they installed parts of the breaks BACKWARDS! Also broke/bent pins trying to install them incorrectly. Had to throw what ever they did out and repair other damage from them. As far as the 4 new tires I had a slight shimmy in the steering when I picked up the vehicle. I figured just needed wheel alignment so took it into Kal Tire and they told me it was the tires. The actual tire itself was defected and couldnt be balanced properly. Tires also showed cracks on inside of tire. Still cant believe a mechanic would install brakes and tell the customer they take a bit to wear in when they were installed completely incorrectly.. Embarrassing Beware of this place. Cheap cheap but it actually cost me more money above what they did to get everything back to normal.

I went there to put my winter tires on my car. The mechanics have no experience and are in a constant rush. They broke one of my wheel bolts with a torque bar, claiming it was seized. I ask what extension did he used , and found he didnt even use an extension. I took the air impact gun and end up showing him how to removing the bolts. The owner Mike came over and start screaming at me telling me that he wont fix nothing for free, that my car is an European garbage and its normal that this occurs. Audis are no garbage , for some people it may , but the point is you dont do this to your customers, the young lady ( his assistant ) was completely ashamed by his actions, and I was not too far from reaching over and choking this arrogant prick. So I end up paying a good price fore switching my tires (80$) Yes.. that resulted in 350$ for removing the broken bolt. Go pay 30$ more to get it done by a professionals.. those Russians there are a JOKE!!

I went to this place to get some work done, first off its like a zoo there, nobody greets you and finally when you go up to the owner Mike and be like Hello???? Im a customer could I get some help? Then he finally acknowledges you. There is no professionalism there. Its just a bunch of guys who run a mechanic shop. You want cheap then maybe these are who you go to, but with cheap comes crappy service and ludacris wait times. Oh and finally when I was done there, the owner Mike ripped me off when it was tine to pay. At the time I didnt think of it but when I left and was driving home I thought hey that worked out to way more than I was quoted, looking at the receipt he overcharged me and then doubled up the GST. I will never go to these backyard mechanics, Id rather pay Kal tire or fountain tire prices

when first arriving, I was afraid of the other google reviews being correct as I wasnt greeted or asked if I needed help by anyone. There was another couple sitting there waiting so finally I asked if anyone comes out to help you. They raved about the shop and the owner and said hes a very hands on owner and is not in the front office but out in the shop. they took me straight to him and he helped me right away. I was there just to get my air conditioning recharged, he quickly found that I had way to much pressure, and had to release all of the freon, then recharge to a normal level. I was out in 15 mins. The charge was only $80. If I had gone anywhere else it would have been over 300. Highly recommend. Just wish they had an office staff to greet me

I went here thinking I was getting a decent deal on getting my car breaks redone. However, they did not explain that they were using break pads that were the cheapest they could find. A year after I have had all breaks installed, my breaks squeal so loudly it is embarassing (i am in the process of getting them redone again). Also, they did not use the correct cotter/split pin when putting the tires back on which could cause the tires to fall off at any moment. Very dangerous and unreliable. You get what you pay for. I should also add, when I tried to talk to the owner about it he was very rude and denied the whole thing and said his shop only does the best work with the best parts.

Stay away from this joint... we originally had a great experience and was grateful for the lower prices, however once the hook was set, I was grossly over charged and the parts that was used was (knowingly) the lowest quality they could find to maximize profit.. When I returned with problems, Mike did offer quality parts at a much higher price and an extra $200 replacement labour.. if I have to pay twice I would sooner take a shot in the dark..anyplace else.. Mike is a knowledgeable fast talker, but my brakes still squeal and Im a very unhappy camper.. Percy Nelson

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! I went there because The wheel aligniment price was cheap. And i got some tires balanced there, terrible job. Took them to another place to find out the rims were still out of balance. And to top it off they broke my specialty gorilla lug nut tool and wouldnt give me a new one. Saying it was cheap thats why it broke. Too top it off. Hes always on the phone and people who go in there in person are last priority and argues with his customers. I guess thats what you get cheap prices for non quality work. Ok bye!!

Terrible service that took forever. Dropped off three sets of rims and tires. Tech couldnt be bothered to wipe dust off rims and all stick on weights fell off while installing on vehicles. Called to complain and let them know I will be returning for a rebalance on all three sets and owner on phone was rude. So will be taking elsewhere to have balanced. They used hammer weights that were previously used on insides of rims as well. Cheap prices equal terrible work. Will never go back and dont recommend them.

First; All the mechanics speak English but since they are all Russian they converse among themselves in Russian. (makes sense does it not) A guy named Mike owns the place and runs the office, he is the one to speak to. the mechanics do the work. Secondly; I have dealt with Mike for the past 6 years and I know the work they do is first rate and that they stand behind the work they do. Thirdly; If you are looking for an honest shop at lower labor cost, then NBS is a place I highly recommend

They fix whatever you need for the cheapest rates ive found in all of edmonton and the work is always done right. Its a first come first served basis, and sometimes you have to wait a minute before getting helped out at the front desk, but that shouldnt be anything to complain about when you are getting the best deal for automotive service in the city.
