Horrible experience took two of my vehicles into them for out of province inspection. First vehicle I took in went great and they seemed very good. I arranged to take my other vehicle in and when they were finished it didnt pass and when I was given the bill it was way more than previously told. He said it was because it was a 3/4 ton truck and lied to me and said it he told me that the price was more when I was in before (complete lie). Also he failed my truck on stuff that I had mentioned as I am a mechanic and had previously asked him if they were a pass or fail. This I feel was so that he could just get money out of me. Kinda felt like a money trap. I made arrangements that when I fixed the truck I could stop by and he could just check the few things quick and pass it so I sent the wife the next day I called to make sure it was good he told me Id have to make an appointment and it wouldnt be a quick job. (lied again). Then when the wife called in he told her that it would be another 100 dollars which he said he told me (lied again). Then I decided enough was enough Im a mechanic and have worked in shops for years we as mechanics are given a bad name for ripping people off and Ive tried my hardest to be honest and give quotes with no hidden costs for this exact reason. Now that I have been on the receiving end of this being a customer I know it doesnt feel good. I went somewhere else that charged me half the price and were very helpful. These are the things that make us as mechanics look bad and it really pisses me off. I dont recommend ANYONE go to this shop and if you do walk in backwards and feel what I felt. It would make my day if this shop closed down because they couldnt afford to keep it open because people stopped going there to get ripped off. Also forgot to mention in my two visits there I seen three people not happy with the extra surprise costs and lies watched them walk out the door very unhappy and said they would never come back. Where is the customer service? Close this shop down

Brought in vehicle for out of province inspection. Vehicle had just had full inspection at dealer and had passed without any failure. There was some very minor sweating of pinion seals, which is extremely common on even the newest low mileage jeeps. Failed inspection , I believe just to try to get some extra work. I would highly recommend taking your vehicle to somewhere that is more reputable and possibly a little busier that maybe doesnt need the extra work. Update on out of province inspection. I took our vehicle into a reputable dealership/service centre. They were aware that our vehicle had just failed inspection and hence had been flagged failed at registries. They warned me that once a vehicle is red flagged, they have to be extremely thorough on inspection. Our vehicle had failed inspection for leaking pinion seals( front and rear), leaking oil pan gasket, license plate light and damaged windshield. Out of all five items, the only item that needed attention was the windshield. As a business owner for 25 years, we pride ourselves on quality workmanship and honesty. I have never left a review in the past on any firm or individual, but appreciate reviews good or bad. Regardless of the field of work, this is not an acceptable practice and should not be rewarded.

We came here because this place was AMA recommended. Dont be fooled! The engine light came on in our truck, so the guy informed us it was the evap system, we booked a smoke test and a quick vehicle inspection to later get a call saying the truck was far from road worthy, it was at risk of rolling due to springs, needed ball joints, had leaks in the transmission, the list went on, none of which were evap related. We fixed the more affordable problems which came to approx a nasty $900. Briefly afterwards the engine light again reappeared! We then decided for our safety we better fix the springs since the guy was persistent it had to be done. Approx another $2500 later with all the problems "fixed" we thought this was the end of it. But no the engine light returned yet again and the truck went into limp mode, this time we were told it was actuators and cam shaft and were looking at at least another $1600, so we figured it was time for a second opinion and surprise surprise it was a harness wire that had melted to the exhaust and cost a staggering $415 to fix! Do we feel robbed? YES! Thank God there are still honest people out there who arent just interested in making a quick buck! 2 year warranty on the work they carried out they told us, yeah right!

Stupid experience.spent 560 dollars for nothing.my car was towed to millwoods auto repair as it seems AMA approved .they keep it for 3 days for diagnosing and told me it cost 460 for replacement of starter.i said ok and then the next day they called me to pay the bill for 560 dollars and the car was not getting started.they were not able to diagnose and told me to take it to the dealership which is a Friday evening.i need to wait till Monday to bring it to somewhere.to be honest if you want your car really fixed dont go to millwoods auto repair .they will rob your money and your time too....they dont give you old parts and wont show you the cost for parts..they just charge all together in a lump sum amount whether your car is fixed or not you need to pay that bill...it was my stupid decision that I took my car to this place..

Just been there last Month. Everything seemed okay in the beginning, problem started afterwards. First I was told that It will cost only 300 ( for example) for my problem. Then after the diagnostics it went up to 500, I was still okay with it as it was legit. But when he fixed my car, It came up to 800 bucks. Like. i was shocked, but he said,, oh shop supplies, blah blah, better part, blah blah. Since I am new here and know nothing about cars, I did not have anything to argue. When I looked at the receipt it did not have any breakdown of prices for the work it was done. In short, Service is good, Qualified professionals and everything, but NO HONESTY, You will be forced and will be scared to upgrade your parts. I was told, You should not drive it in this condition and all that crap but my car ran fine without anything.

Hey Milwood Auto..if you are after money go beg, dont cheat. Canadians are pretty Generous and we dont mind offer you some help if you need. what you are doing is getting the car hoisted up in the Air and tacking all parts down and then demanding for UNUSUAL amount to repair it. if we dont agree you tell us to get a it towed with all parts out. it is like taking someone hostage. i dont know your background but you are very expert in doing this. i do not recommend this place at all. S T A Y A W A Y i see very few named users given more than 1 star all other who gave 5 stars are NO NAME dummy accounts i guess milwood auto hired someone to post these FAKE reviews ..dont trust no name reviews
