WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER I never in my life received the worst customer service. I went in to get a simple oil change that took longer then it shouldve. The employees were giving me and my cousin weird stares while we sat to wait for the car. We also saw the mechanic looking through places that didnt seem necessary. While the mechanic was parking the car back into the front of the store, I notice a huge scratch mark in the front of my vehicle. It was all white and looked fairly fresh. My cousin caught my attention and told me to look at the mark and I was beyond appalled. I tell the young mechanic to explain what that mark was and as he walked out another employee who might have been a supervisor and the GM walked outside with me and my cousin. I tell them to simply explain that mark. The guy aggressively boils up and screams at us saying, “TAKE IT UP WITH YOUR INSURANCE". He blames me saying that I didnt even take a look at the vehicle at all. I questioned him for looking at me while I inspect the vehicle. He uses very insulting words which are easily avoidable and even mentioned that 3 other clients complained the same day which proves there is something wrong with the service at this location. I asked him multiple times what his position at this store was and he refused to tell me. All in all this proves the very culture of this location. If you are going to this shop please take a photo of your vehicle before they work on it because if you suspect something, they will act very defiant.

I was going to Midas for many years. Most of the time I went was for oil change and replacing winter for summer tires and opposite. Last year me and my wife decided to give one of the vehicles to our older son (university student). There were three problems with that vehicle(brakes, air condition did not work and windshield was cracked). They replaced the windshield, installed new brakes and I was told that the air conditioning worked just fine. For windshield I had to go back four times because of noise that we could hear when we drive over 60 km/hr, and they still did not fix the problem. After driving for some time we noticed some loud noise coming from right front tire. We towed the vehicle back to Midas, and diagnostics were that mechanic forgot to put back on the break assembly one bolt. There were possibility that brake assembly together with the tire could dislodge from the body and possibly kill my son if he was on the highway at the time driving fast. The air conditioning started working after the fourth visit. However, it broke down again. That was the time when we decided to take our vehicle to the place were we bought the vehicle. They fixed the air conditioning in half an hour and they told me to keep windshield the way it is if I did not mind the noise(they installed wrong windshield).

On March 27, 2015 I booked an appointment for an oil change at this location. Appointment Time: 1630 Arrival and Handover key Time: 1615 My Vehicle brought in the Shop: 1748 Shop Closing Time: 1800 Vehicle Returned: 1843 I waited that long for a simple oil change job. My vehicles engine requirement is 5w30 and they filled 10w30 without even asking me. I noticed it when I got the invoice. I have never used 10w30 in my vehicle. Other than their worst time-keeping I noticed through their see- through window, one of their worker climbed on the vehicles while on hoist, like a monkey. Seemed very dangerous, not only for their worker but for the vehicles too those were 5 feet in the air and their worker could cause huge damage while practicing his Cliff Hanger skills. Shop management did not care about their workers silly actions and they also did not care customers (vehicle owners) and passers-by watching it. They do check the lights but did not carry a parking light bulb. Will never return to this shop.

Ive been dealing with Midas since I moved to Edmonton three years ago. They always greet you with a smile, know me by name, are quick and efficient and I have always left happy and satisfied. The first time I dont with them was for brake service the under quoted everyone else $200! I have a son who is autistic, he absolutely loves going with me when we need to get the truck serviced. Myra (One of the staff at the front desk) is truly his favourite. She always takes an extra little bit of time out to make sure she says hello and goodbye to him. Herb and Jason , Manager and assistant are always super friendly and helpful. I always use mechanic (Steve) he takes the time to explain everything to me, Will even take me to show me whats going on and then lets me know what needs to be done right away and what can wait. I would highly recommend the store! I love the staff and they truly go out of their way to make sure youre satisfied and happy!

My wife and I drive old cars so are in and out of mechanic shops frequently. Have lived in Edmonton for a decade and in my experience this is one of the better shops as far as overall customer service and pricing (always a website coupon to be had which lowers their already standardized pricing). I know a fair bit about automotive mechanics and have had a number of experiences here where the service writer could have taken advantage of myself or my wife and instead acted with integrity in not recommending unneeded repairs. Just one example, today our service engine soon light came on and my wife took it in. They didnt even charge us to check out the error code and tell us what it was even though they didnt do any other work for us. Any other place and it would have been the $60 minimum service charge.

These guys are going to try and upsell you as much useless stuff as they can. I had a mechanic friend of mine inspect my vehicle and he said Id only need one of my mufflers replaced, and that Id be looking at about $100-200 max, including parts and labor. I go to Midas because they were nearby, and they gave me an estimate of 569.00 and said both needed to be replaced even though one of them was only a year old. They added 3 hours of labor at 65 per even though my mechanic friend said it would take around 20 minutes to switch out and install a new one. SHOP AROUND ELSEWARE!!!!!!!!

If you need an auto shop that has friendly professional honest staff this is the place to go. my experience here was 5 star and the other customers I talked with while I was waiting for were all very happy returning customers. I give this place two thumbs up and will return without hesitation. :) They did exactly what I needed and bent over backwards to make sure I was happy with the price and the quality of the work they were doing. Thanks guys your a great team at this Midus :)

this could be the best Midas branch in yeg in terms of customer service and ofcourse the actual taking care of your car. ive been to a lot of different Midas in town and this place tops them all. Craig i think was the Manager or Asst Manager and he is very knowledgeable about cars. hell give an idea right away on what he thinks is the problem of your car and his overall customer service is on point.
