Fix Auto has nailed the client-centred approach to business. I had the pleasure of linking to them through a hit and run as they were recommended by my insurance company, and through that experience, I have returned for additional (non accident-related) repairs. It has just been an ongoing pleasure working with the gentlemen at that shop- they are all courteous and have ideal temperaments for anyone who is wary of mechanics or who is experiencing what its like to go through an auto claim. I was provided with such detailed explanations of what was happening to my car and many times the owner, Lew, came by to offer reassurance or thoughtful conversations about the vehicle or the Auto claims process itself. Lew was very knowledgeable about collision claims and he and the team helped me to understand what was being done at all times. The service was always done on time, and as described. When I told Lew that other shops had said "XYZ" about my car, he jumped in my car with me and was able to diagnose the problem quickly and explained why other shops had misdiagnosed. When there was a billing error on one of the services rendered, the team immediately provided reassurance and redirected me to Lew who promptly took responsibility and did not charge me the significant back-charge for the errors. I also appreciated that this shop referred out when they couldnt complete a repair (e.g., windshield) and offered to take my vehicle to these other places when it was already at Fix Auto to minimize my inconvenience. As a side note, my experience with their referrals were equally as positive and their rates were more than fair. Overall, I give Fix Auto five stars for their work, but also their people who were wonderfully professional and who seemed keen to put you at ease. It felt like they were on my side, looking for ways to streamline a repair and make it as cost-efficient as possible. Bonus points that they were always jovial, even at 8am on a Monday. Best experience and service for car repair I have ever received! Came to Fix Auto after visiting two other garages for quotes on a repair. Fix auto took the time to do a detailed analysis of all the work to be done and fully understood that, as a consumer, the costs involved are a big concern. As a result, they provided a very reasonable estimate which was much lower than the other two garages I visited for an estimate. They were kind, friendly and made the entire process stress-free and easy. I left my car with them the next morning and went on a vacation. Throughout my entire trip, I received email updates of the key milestones of the repair, which I loved and never received before from any garages - allowing me to feel confident in the repairs which were being performed. The car ended up being ready for pick up far in advance of the due date as well as the timeline provided by other garages. I picked up the car upon my return and noted that it was in immaculate condition! The repairs were flawless and perfect. As if that weren’t enough, the interior and exterior of my car were fully cleaned and a full checkup of the car was performed as part of the repair (which I did not expect). This was the best experience I have ever had – amazing service, easy and an outstanding repair job. GO TO FIX AUTO!

UNPROFESSIONAL AND A COMPLETE IDIOT. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN. Im seconding the previous persons review that Lou seems pretty willing to just lose his mind when he thinks hes justified and will start swearing at people. I was disappointingly not surprised when I saw that in a previous comment as well. I called them today and he thought I was trying to sell him something so he felt this gave him full permission to rip into me, swear like an angry kid and hang up. You lost a sale and I really hope many others as well. ****High functioning human beings dont treat each other like that, in absolutely any case.**** The guy is an ape. Find anyone else. EDIT: His response kinda proves the point. Wont admit he was wrong, doesnt want to pull back. He thinks hes right so hes fine with continuing to double down on stupid. No amount of being wrong phases this guy apparently. I was going to ask about how he handles credit cards for a potentially expensive repair and he immediately LOST IT, cuts me off, swears and blows up at a total stranger. NOT AN ACCEPTABLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS. Ive never, ever, ever been treated that way by any business. Youd get a more reasonable response from the average person if you keyed their car (definitely dont bring it to Lou to fix though).

I live in USA and visiting Canada in June 2,2014, I met with an accident. this company ready to fix my car right away that was good part for the repair of the car. They gave my insurance company an detail estimate after opening or dismentaling the damage part of the car. The repair was approved by the insurance company, so I authorized the repair. They fixed my car in10 days. When I went to pick my car, I got big surprise, they made bill for more then $800 dollars on top of approved amount. This extra amount of more than $800 dollars was rip off which I am sure they did not do any work and they did not ask for the authorization to do extra work. In future I cannot go to this shop for any repair, If I am stuck in Edmonton again....

I had a repair that was unavoidable. I first went to my dealerships preferred body shop. Their price and time table to complete the job both seemed really high. Luckily, I called around to previous contacts in the industry and was referred to Lew. He came very highly recommended. I saw him the next day and was amazed by the difference in pricing and time line. In comparison with the dealerships preferred body shop, I saved 30% on my repair cost with Lew. And got my truck back TWO days later... Two days, versus 2-3 weeks the other body shop had quoted me. And the quality of work was second to none. Lew and his staff know their stuff! Its worth while to see Lew for an estimate or a second opinion.

Lew has dealt with my two insurance claims (Aug 2015, Feb 2016). Both times my car came out looking brand new (full interior clean, exterior wash/wax). I was impressed with how quickly they were able to start the repairs (following day), as well as the turnaround time of about 4-5 days for my specific repair (new grill, hood, front headlight, e.t.c.). I would not hesitate to bring my car back here - much less stressful when you know what you are getting. Unrelated to my insurance claims, Lew went above and beyond to look for an accessory (back door handle) to replace my missing one. Still havent found a matching model but I appreciated him making an effort to look.

Not too long ago, I wrote a scathing comment due to some frustrations with the repairs done on my car. After Lou found out about it, he called me up personally to find out what was wrong and wanted to make things right. Just want to apologize to him and his team, theyve done nothing but incredible work and deserve the credit for going the extra mile to get my car back on the road. I hope to not have to bring my car back in for anything...If so, Id be happy to let Lou and his team at Fix Auto to take care of things. Sorry for being an ass! Graham
