Edmonton Motors on Jasper Ave is the worst dealership in Alberta ! I brought my car in for service when an engine light appeared, and the service department diagnosed the vehicle. They informed me for some reason there was no oil in the engine which to me was extremely strange as I had only driven the vehicle approximately 7,000 KM since the previous service. The previous service everything seemed to be okay as Edmonton Motors did not mention anything being wrong other then the regular work that they did. They also recommended servicing the fuel injectors and replacing the spark plugs during this most recent service which I agreed to complete ! They did not mention anything at anytime about any specific faults. They called me and said all is okay, you can pick up your vehicle. I had the vehicle for one week and only drove the vehicle a max of about 50-60 KM over the course of 7 days. I went to start the vehicle one day during this 7 day period to have it not start and turnover now and this is after the work was completed mentioned above ! I ended up having the vehicle towed back to Edmonton Motors ! They say they tested everything to only find now that there was no combustion in the engine and the only way the can see whats happen is to open the top part of the engine to see whats happening inside. Now, after paying them 950 dollars to do the first job, they are quoting me another 6 hours at 150.00 dollars per hour just to see whats happening in the engine. I agreed but really had no choice. The open up the engine to find the timing chain guard broke, the timing chain wrapped around some major parts and are now quoting me on a new engine which is now up to 10,000 dollar quotation. This is when the finally mentioned that in the initial servicing, there was a fault that appeared that said "timing chain issue" but the fault was cleared when they put oil in the engine and they "road tested " the vehicle. Their idea of road testing is to drive the vehicle around the block which is less then a KM in distance and not to mention in the down town core which can be busy so speed and pressure would be minimal ! They say the fault never re-appeared so they say everything is okay. Now at this point, I am pretty upset & angry. I ask to meet one on one with their service manager Dean Romano. In this meeting I try to get Edmonton Motors to accept responsibility as they should have investigated the fault in the first visit but Dean Romanos response is "Its a waste of my time to check on every fault as its his job to get me on the road quickly" why would he investigate further ! The problem is the fault was actually telling them something considering when I brought the vehicle in the oil was gone but there is not a single oil leak on this vehicle ! The fault that appeared ended up being the cause of the engine failure. The timing chain guard broke. Interesting, Timing chain issue fault not investigated but timing chain controls the functionality of the vehicle ! in this meeting, I request compensation such as me purchasing a used engine and Edmonton motors paying for the installation as the dealership should be taking responsibility for their poor workmanship & misdiagnosis ! Dean laughs and absolutely refuses - He says they have done nothing wrong. He contradicts himself in the meeting by saying that I have gone over in KM between servicing but then later in the conversation telling me that todays vehicles, you can drive 5000-7000 KM between servicing. My vehicle was at 7,000 so I was within his range now so I questioned that comment. he again changed his story ! He told me that he would go to GM Motors and explain the situation and try to help me but also encouraged me to call. he told me if i call and complain, most times they do something for you ! Well, I opened a case with GM customer service. During my conversations with GM Motors they inform me that Dean did nothing to assist ! Harrison wolfe refuses to meet with you and claudius blocks you from informing public of your experience

BEWARE My Fiancee and I had just relocated to Edmonton, its always an emotional event to relocate. We went to Edmonton Motors as its location was the closest to Where we live. We were excited to get a new Truck for my Husband, the same style but newer to the truck we already owned. (4x4 Short Box with all the goodies) I had to fly back to BC, as I had given my word to complete some Christmas Catering events That I agreed to see threw. After all its Christmas, and coming up with a last minute Caterer isnt easy at this time of year. After the flight back and forth and such...the trip & cost balanced, lol....BUT I kept my word,( at the end of the day, thats all we have) Fail that and you have got to ask yourself what kind of human are you????? Looking forward to our New Short Box 4X4 purchased at Edmonton Motors on Jasper Ave "FAIL" this is what I get to deal with.... The truck came in for Darrell to pick up, and it was a long box !!! What?? A long box wont fit in our underground parking, and we ordered a Short Box! Hello...... You must change this, it is not What we asked for! The Answer was NO!!! NO??? what do you mean? we can not sell you the short box as prieviously agreed, and not only that .... Because you wont take this truck, we will also retain the $500.00 deposit that you paid for the vehicle that you will NOT receive! What??? Excuse me Mr Grinch??? That was our Christmas! Thank You Edmonton Motors, for showing your Edmonton Hospitality! My family have been GM drivers for over 80 yrs, and in all our live have we yet to run into the slime treatment that you have bestowed to us this Christmas. Thank you for destroying my trust in you Mr. Peter Goldspink and Gerry, may you spend our $500.00 deposit well, and shower your families with this free money, and I really want to let you know, how disappointed I am in your Customer service and ethics. Sleep well knowing that you failed as a human........ Lets see if my honest review gets posted....

My boyfriend and I had our old cars die within 24 hours of each other. Rather than shell out a bunch of money to fix 12 and 14 year old cars, we decided to purchase one new. We went to Edmonton Motors to look at the new Cruz. When we walked into the dealership, we were asked "Have you been helped?" I said no. The next question was "Do you WANT to be helped?". That impressed me! We said yes. Sadly, the Cruz was not a good fit for us - my boyfriends long legs just didnt work for such a compact car. We looked at another car, but then saw an Orlando. That was when we decided to look into SUV type vehicles. I test drove a Kia Soul (had a horrible sales person who turned me off of a vehicle that I really liked). We went to a Ford Dealership, and were treated very poorly. The guys at Toyota were friendly enough over email and phone, but when I told them that we had no transportation to go test-drive their vehicles, I was asked if somebody could give us a ride. When I spoke with Ganesh at Edmonton Motors, he offered to come pick us up for a test drive. After all of my research and test drives were done, the Orlando was the most comfortable of all of them - fit us both better than the others. However, what got us coming back to Edmonton Motors was Ganesh. He was just fantastic. I have already recommended him to a few people. When our warranty runs out, I will absolutely return to Edmonton Motors. Hopefully Ganesh will still be there!
