I have all the paperwork in case you cant find yours. I replaced the transmission & the oil cooler lines with pictures. Paperwork of what you have supposedly done. You guys are trained mechanics & I shouldnt have went through any of this & especially I trusted you & Im a first time buyer from you. - All I want from Don Wheatons is that the lifter or whatever knocks when the engine is cold started, fix like it was before (quiet) the engine was disassembled & repaired by your team & I will take down everything I wrote. This review will stay as long as my car is not fixed. Written: Jan 016/16 Don Wheaton tried to repair the engine and the transmission of my new car that I purchased for emergency uses. That is now paperweight on the street. Way to go Don Wheatons!! Took them six years to rebuild the engine that has lifter noise now, and didnt know what transmission fluid looks like when it leaked. They tried to repair the transmission oil lines with clamps instead of replacing them hoping that no one will find out. They replaced the transmission pan seal which the bolt got caught on the seal during installation. They tried again and did the same thing, but this time they shorted almost a half a liter of oil the same day I left and tried to drive up a hill and didnt make it, now the transmission is damaged & I am stuck with paperweight. Jeff Bedford said your suppose to replace that seal every 3 Years...What the _____????? Jeff Bedford who has been there for ever, also said they use synthetic oil in everything until the mechanic came out and said no we dont. So what do you know???? I had asked to talk to the owner about the SHODDY REPAIRS and was told to my face, that will never happen!! They scratched my paint and told me that it was my fault although I was not in the car and had pictures to prove it before it went into service. The head office told me they did that on goodwill so if you get bad service, it was for free on your part, but I paid for that service so how is that goodwill?? LOL Don Wheaton, you broke my heart when you broke my new car!! Are you ashamed to even reply or you dont know what to say or do? Don Wheaton is on the BBB so you can file your complaint there because here everyone just reads it & nothing is done. All you talk about below is erasing the problem, not solving the problem. Your comment is still below.

I just spoke with the General Manager Dave Mussell with regards to a vehicle I purchased back in September 15th 2015. It is a beautiful Black on Black 2010 Yukon XL Denali. Love the vehicle and there were absolutely no problems with it until April 16th 2016. 4 of lifters went on the passenger side. I live in Calgary. I could not find anyone to finance me when I was trying to purchase a vehicle but Don Wheaton pushed and made it happen! Unfortunately the engine trouble with the lifters in no longer covered under warranty but I called Dave to see if there was any hope. Dave was extremely helpful and tried to find ways to see if any warranties applied. To no avail I am SOL which is totally cool. My local NON GM mechanic quoted me $3500.00 to repair the engine. I told Dave the price and he gave me a promised price of 2500.00 plus GST. He told me they could absorb some of the costs. Well the engine is already being torn down by a licenced mechanical shop in Airdrie called Stand Fast Automotive which is owner by real and true friends of mine. Therefore I will let Stand Fast automotive continue the job because they are offering me payments of this horrific bill and the engine is already apart and there is really not a viable way to get it to Edmonton. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Don Wheaton GM and manager Dave Mussell for the excellent sales and service I have received since the purchase of my vehicle and once repaired I will review with Don Wheaton about trading in the 2010 for a newer version of this unbelievable Yukon XL Denali. I accept things happen when you buy a used vehicle but remember people you are purchasing a USED Vehicle which will have problems. The dealership represents the brand not the poor owners who drove it before you bought it. Thank you for your kindness today Dave and I will see you soon. A happy customer. Colin Graham.

Sales person Alex Gull is one of the most frustrating people I have ever dealt with in my life. After coming to terms on a deal and being approved for financing (which took a couple days), I email Alex for confirmation about a couple of small repairs that werent mentioned anywhere in the documentation I had. I got no response for about 20 hours. On top of that, Tim Florek in the business office emails me sales and loan docs to sign, and one of the pages Im signing says I have read all five pages of the document, but I only have one page. I ask about the missing pages and he responds saying I can see them when I pick up the vehicle. What? Im supposed to sign the agreement and then get to read what Im agreeing to? That response in addition to the lack of response from Alex made me back out of the deal. Moments after I sent an email saying I was not moving ahead with the deal, I get a phone call from Alex saying that everything I wanted was done. Too little too late. When I told Alex I was out, he hits me with "you didnt put a deposit on the vehicle." Thats not the point, Alex! I told you several times I would take my chances without leaving a deposit. I fully understand that if someone else buys the vehicle, its my loss and your gain. That has nothing to do with you not answering my questions. Although Tims lack of documentation was the straw the broke the camels back, it was Alexs ineptness that cost the dealership a sale. Not only will I never deal with Don Wheaton, I will never any other Wheaton dealership if thats the way the flagship treats customers.

***Use caution dealing with this dealership*** I called in on a car possibly being unrealistic (I was told I was approved at a different dealership for 90k) so I assumed everything would work out. I waited three days for an answer then sent a text message asking what was going on and received a message saying the business department was still looking into it. I told Shawn Mac Dougal to only source one lending agency However They pulled a credit check three different times without my social insurance number or permission. Im not an expert and I am looking into it but I believe this is illegal. If youre a new car buyer be aware that credit checks affect your credit rating greatly. auto dealerships will go to as many lending agencies as it takes to find financing hitting your credit up to 15 times.( ive learned this the hard way) A week and a half later I still have not received any communication, its obvious that I didnt get approved and they dont care enough to explain anything to me. This is piss poor business practice and ethics. You would think being respectful to a customer even if they cant spend tens of thousands of dollars at the dealership today that they might want to try to get that business tomorrow. In conclusion this is my only way to vent no one cares, but if I can sway the opinion of one customer and save them the hassle of being ripped off or miss lead in someway I am happy.
