I do not typically write reviews but just had to on this place. Had some bodywork done in 2006 at Don Wheaton Body Shop. Took it here as it was recommended by Pertersons (Where I purchased). They repaired the damage and offered a lifetime warranty. Last year the work started to fail. I took it back to them and they agreed to repair under warranty. Dropped it off on Sunday, left the keys in the key drop for my appointment on Monday with a not for them to call me (did not call). Called them late in the day on Monday, they said they seen the note but Murray was busy he would call back. Tuesday called back and advised I never received a call back, they said Murray was not in and he would get back to me. Wednesday he finally called back, I asked if they could fix the small dent on the same panel as they were doing the panel anyway. Murray came back to me with a price, of course ridiculous! We finally negotiated a price and advised the truck would be ready Friday. Friday afternoon comes and he phones me and lets me know the truck will not be done. I advised I needed it, but I guess I will have to rent a car to get buy. He advised stuff happens (kind of a bullshit story) and for sure the truck will be done Monday. Well Tuesday comes, they call truck is finally ready. Asked if they can do something on the price for the delay, of course Murray says no we lost money on this one ( I forgot to tell him, so did I and it would not be back if they did it right in the first place). Anyway no deal. Cannot comment on the work as this is the second time on the same spot, we will see. This Murray guy had a hundred reasons why not to discount the work but did not even care that I had to rent a car or not have any transportation for a week and two days. All about them! Great service, not a chance for a dealer of this size!

I backed into one of my colleague’s vehicle accidentally and chipped off the paint of his front plastic bumper. The chip measured approximately 5cm in length and 2 cm in width. My colleague’s car was a 2017 Toyota Highlander, which he purchased 3 months back. He insisted that he wanted it to be fixed from the dealer itself. We went to Toyota authorized body shop Don Wheaton which was suggested by the ‘Toyota on the Trail’ dealer. Don Wheaton gave me a quote of $1058 after inspecting the damage. I was overwhelmed by the price and I went to a few other body shops around the same location as Don Wheaton and got quotes from them in the range of $350 - $450 for the same damage. I have previously seen the work of one of these body shops and they did a good job. As my colleague was adamant on going to only a Toyota body shop, I had no other choice. After various attempts of negotiation and explanation, the manager at Don Wheaton came down to $875, which I thought was still way more than the actual price. The car was given on Monday (8th May, 2017) and the repair was finished by Friday (12th May). I’m attaching pictures below of the vehicle with the damage to give you an actual idea of how I got ripped off.

I was in a minor rear ending accident in which my exhaust/muffler pipe was broken. When I brought my car in, the person didnt even bother to look under my car to see the visible damage. I was quoted the outrageous price of $1500 and upwards and was told the bumper would need to be removed and that it would take 2 weeks and I would need a rental car. They told me that just to hoist the car up to see what the problem was would cost me $95 and hour. Well, I took my car to abc muffler and within 1 minute they had discovered the problem, and within 15 minutes they had fixed it for a total cost of only $84!!! Unreal. How in the world could there be an almost $1400 difference!? The cost of repairing the problem was less then the cost of even just assessing the problem at don Wheaton would have been. Shameful

Avoid them. My wife had accident two months ago. We sent the car only for damage estimate to Don Wheaton bodyshop. When we were not agree to proceed repair. They mentioned the car repair has already started. Based on law they supposed to get written permission for repair but we have never permitted the repair. When we complained and request to return the car, they refused and told us the car can not be released from shop because car suspension has been damaged and it is not safe. Even they did not let the car have been taken out by tow track. Three weeks after accident, we signed the permission paper because our rental time were over and Don Wheaton bodyshop wanted to charge us for storage fee. Still we dont have the car after two months and my car is in Don Wheaton body shop.

The mechanics that worked on my car, thank you. My car looks like it is brand new, so i appreciate your work. Lastly, thank you also for even vacuuming my car, i was shocked when i got in how clean it was. Was not expecting that. Will definitely recommend this place for sure.
