Im new to Alberta, arrived last week. I got caught in the trap over "Out-of-Province" inspections. With only a limited number of shops in Edmonton having earned approval to perform those inspections, I found myself in a juggernaut toward being forced to trade my BC car in at a dealership. Auto Imports saved me from my own dealership. Originally, the bill at the other place would have been close to $5,000, for a car only worth $5,000...they were "sorry" but they would take it in trade...I only had to walk over to their sales office and they would "help" me. I wondered why they would take my car in trade when it "needed" repairs equal to the value of the car...I went to Auto Imports for a second opinion because I KNOW my car. Auto Import Specialists is NOT a big multi-million dollar "glass and marble" monument to corporate greed, but a true auto shop...the way shops used to be...hard working people making a living in a tough market by their sweat, their auto skills, and their customer relations...NOT by upselling and over-charging. Ill prove that point in a minute. I was made to feel welcome when I came in. Treated with respect and dignity. We actually talked about my needs and concerns, rather than the dealerships way of treating me like a number and keeping me in the dark. I havent felt that level of customer respect and consideration and bending over backwards to meet MY needs in an auto shop in a very long time... it was incredible. They listened to me, then looked thoroughly at my car, then came back and discussed what they thought--and what they discussed was EXACTLY what I expected--NO EXTRA SURPRISES!!! WOW...what dealership does that anymore! This is NOT a production line dealership that determines your bill by how much they can mark up the bill, thinking there is a never-ending supply of consumers in such a big city...this is an old school auto shop that cares about their customers as part of the community. Heres the kicker...Im a retired vet who has played with fixing my own cars for years...I KNOW what was wrong with my car. Auto Imports noted the flaws I already knew about WITHOUT any "extras." They were right, very fair in their pricing, and they went BEYOND my expectations by looking for ways to reduce my costs to address them. Their bill was WELL below what I expected. I gladly agreed to the $1,400 bill...it was VERY reasonable, and I know it. Auto Import Specialists have earned a customer for life. Ive only been here a week, but I now know I have an auto shop I can respect and feel comfortable going to when I need them. At long last...I am not a number...I am a valued customer again! Oh...hey... I read the review by "Logan Burt" Two things stand out... 1) he said he took his 1993 (OLD) car to them for an inspection. They didnt charge him for it, telling him why it wouldnt pass an inspection. They SAVED him money. 2) He found another "mechanic" to give him a complete inspection and "fix" everything for $100. Wow...great mechanic. Wonder if the Province is aware about the declined inspection before the $100 pass? I also wonder why it sounds like what he is REALLY mad about is that he could NOT pressure Auto Imports into breaking the law and giving a "pass" to an old, leaky unsafe vehicle...for $100. Thanks Logan...you proved to me that Auto Imports has integrity and self respect and refused to charge you for an inspection they knew you would not legally pass. Name one other shop that would NOT charge you for an honest opinion. If I ran an auto shop, Id beware of such "customers." Yep, Auto Import Specialists is my auto shop as long as I stay in Edmonton. Thanks guys! May God bless you all.

Man at the front was a very good at describing what was wrong with my vehicle and is pretty genuine. My problem I brough in my truck to have it inspected and all was fine at first everything he told me, i had already checked out myself and he just confirmed it. What im mad about is that they deleted a airbag code without me haveing asked to and i could have done on my own and i was charged 50 for. Airbag light is back on now. Rear windshield wiper Rear wiper was being used the day I brought it in when I came back the following monday it was stuck quarter way up and no longer works and I had found a peice of the assembly in my trunk? And someone mangled the panel to get at the windsheild wiper. Told me my oil pan gasket was leaking. I bought the oilpan gasket and took off my oil pan to replace it. Oil pan gasket completely intact it was the rear main seal that was leaking. And now i have to rip off my oil pan again, along with my trans, tc, crossmember, and do another oil flush. Abs light Abs now kicks in whenever I press on the brakes on dry surfaces and then the light pops on after a bit and abs stops working until i turn it off and back on. I so do not blame this on the people at the service desk but the techs in the shop. Completely unsatisfied with whatever they did in there.

When I moved to Edmoton, AB from Ontario, I needed my vehicle to go through out of province inspection. I found the offer of Auto Import from Kijiji and was initially a bit skeptical about the quality of the service at such a lower rate. The booking was easy and my experience was great. Naresh told me that they write report as they see the vehicle and if they find any issue they show it to customer. They did not even try to offer/provide any extra service. My vehicle passed the inspection in a short time and the charge was just as advertised, not even a single cent extra. I have found them courteous, honest and knowledgeable about what they do. I am doubtful that any better out of province inspection deal (in terms of price and quality) than what Auto Imports offers can be found in Edmonton. I highly recommend Auto Imports.

I had an excellent experience at auto imports. Went there to get my 2011 infinity inspected. The front desk staff were extremely polite and courteous and told me to return in 2 hours. Everything checked out excellent, though there was a minor repair that the vehicle needed to pass the inspection. The front desk manager was extremely professional and explained all the costs line by line. He also provided me with a discount to help offset the repair costs, which I was extremely graceful for. The mechanics did an excellent job and my car is 100% solid. I would recommend anyone going not just for an inspection but also repairs, as these guys are very knowledgeable and know their stuff. Do not hesitate to reach out to Auto Imports for any vehicle related issues

Awesome! These guys are the best. Truly excellent customer service, they were very helpful and willing to accommodate to my budget, and explained everything that needed to be done on my van to me very patiently. They were very thorough, and always went the extra mile like they were as excited and motivated as I was to get my Westfalia up and running again. They even told me to swing by after a little while so they could give it a once over, just to make sure everything is still working well. I HIGHLY recommend Auto Imports. I have had only good experiences. Period.
