Last week on Friday I tried to get a tire repaired, oil change and new battery. It was very busy, which I took as a good sign, and was told that they dont take appointments for this type of work but if I came early Monday am,Id be able to be in and out by 1000. This am,I showed up at 0740 and other than the guys opening up shop, I was the first customer. The sign stated that they were still closed so I stayed in the vehicle until after seeing 4 other people go in before 0755(supposedly they dont open until 0800). Therfore, despite arriving first, and attempting to be respectful I was now 5th in line for service. Now, I REALLY wanted this experience to turn out.They are located in my neighborhood and are a family owned business. They are also very busy with a loyal clientele. All good signs. Unfortunately, they seem maxed out for volume of work.Customer service is definitely archaic.This am I took off work to take care of this vehicle. I commute long distances and require my vehicle in top notch condition. Wasted day...loss of wages. Very disappointed...hoped I could have found someone I could trust and rely on. Back to using "chain service stations ",until I find a "mom and pop shop" that needs my business and my money.

I called first thing on opening Thursday morning, in a last minute rush to fit winter tires and have an alignment done. I had to be in Red Deer by 12noon. Even though they seemed busy they got me sorted out and back on the road within an hour and a half of dropping the car off. Staff were professional, great attitudes and friendly. Like I said I feel they went out of the way a bit to get me back on the road quick. No issues with work done either, especially after them saying they probably only had time to do an alignment, and when I collected the vehicle the tires were done too. Price was a fair and pretty standard for what was done. I arrived in Red Deer 12:05. I was happy. Would recommend A1.

They got the job done so quickly I couldnt believe it. They do a lot more work than just tires and batteries. I came in with a corroded battery clamp which I discovered while trying to fix an issue I had with my break lights. I thought they were equipped to fix my battery but they also fixed my break light problem, helped me to never get coorosion on my battery and saved me a lot of work by explaining that the new clamp I bought for myself would not reach with the wiring I had. I am glad I didnt attempt this job myself. Lance helped me out and while I was there others commented on how quick the service was.

I have been going to A-1 Tire and battery for over 5 years now. I live in SE Millwoods and gladly make the effort of going to them with both the family vehicles as their service is par excellence. They go out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction. The service is fast and well priced and the best thing is that they are completely trustworthy. We moved to the area last year and took our vehicle here for an oil change because it was close. We now use A-1 tire anytime we need work done on one of our vehicles. Their customer service is 5 star, the prices are reasonable, and we have had no issues with the work. They are friendly, and very accommodating! We generally call in the morning to see if we can get an appointment and they always get us in same day. Thanks for the great service guys!!

I get as much vehicle maintenance and service completed here as possible. Professional and reliable, I always feel that I am getting the best service at the best prices. I know what is being done, and why, before it is done, unlike the service at a dealership. They also only do what is necessary, and most cost effective. They always take great care of my car, and teach me a thing or two along the way!

Had a screw in my tire today. Took it to A-1 Tire & Battery. When I went to pick it up the fella at the counter asked if I was a veteran because he noticed my licence plate. I told him yes and he told me not charge. I said wow thank you. He then shook my hand and said no thank you. Made my year. This is now my new auto garage. Thanks for putting a smile on this vet who has had a bad year.

Great place, helpful staff, person I dealt with was very clear what they could do about my issue. I only gave 4 stars because when I left my rim and tire to get patched, I never got a phone call saying it was done, and had to get in contact with them. They let me know it was done the same day I dropped it off so I was a bit disappointed I didnt get a call that day or the day after.

Very consistant and great service. Family owned business that has been in edmonton for years, shows well. I have been going to this shop for many years, and the team is reliable and ready to fix any issue. 3 things one needs in life; a good accountant, lawyer, and tire shop. This business/shop and staff are the best. The basis of service is value here.

Reliable, Honest, and wont hammer you with a bill because of gender or lack of mechanical knowledge. If you really dont understand a price and why it is they will even take you into the shop and show you whats wrong. A company that seems to understand that theyre profit comes from return business, not gouging everyone that comes in.
