I have been a solid and devoted Enterprise Rent-A-Car customer for many many years. On Saturday May 2nd that all came to an end. What I will Say is that a newly recent Manager from Red Deer was transferred to the Medicine Hat location. His Name is Lawrence Porter. Lawrence kicked me out of his business (as he said it was) I proceeded to tell him that it was not his business, and that he was the manager of a corporately run enterprise. I suggested that he rethink his decision, I went as far as even apologizing and letting him know that what he was doing was wrong and not good for the corporation. he picked up the phone and proceeded to call the police. I suggested that he call someone at the corporate office, He said no one is there. I then called another office in Calgary, She apologized on behalf of Lawrence and asked to speak with him, Lawrence refused too. I then put her on speaker phone and he still refused to speak with her. I told her he was ignoring her, and again she apologized on behalf of Enterprise. After I got off the phone from Calgary office, I then asked Lawrence one more time to reconsider and that it is not to late to put this all behind us and rent me the vehicle in which was already prebooked 3 weeks ahead of time. again he said get out. I said ok and went outside to tell my wife that Lawrence Porter kicked me out because I would not pay $100.00 more for the upgrade. I told my Wife I was not willing to pay $37.00 per day for a vehicle when that very day we just returned a charger to Calgary Enterprise airport station for $16.99 per day. I made a phone call to the local cab company to pick us up at Enterprise. Oh yea,Lawrence said that was the cost of doing business in Medicine Hat and that he would not give us a free upgrade, I told him I have rented many many times before and that there were times I never even asked for the upgrade they just put me in one. By the way I am a business Man as was not interested in the AVR they said they had for. I told him it was not something I wanted to show up to possible customers in. My wife was confused and shocked at this manner of management and the way it was dealt with, she was even more in shock after we took our luggage out of the car and waited for the cab to have the police show up. The police officer asked me what happened, and I told him that there was a situation in which was handled wrong by Enterprise Manager Lawrence Porter. He went in to talk to Lawrence and came out right away, I apologized to the police that his time was wasted on such nonsense. we then went on our way by deluxe cab company. Thank you for reading my Review. PS this review was written 2 days after the fact. And a video of the event was also recorded. Sound advice. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. THIS WAS THE COST OF HIRING THE WRONG PERSON.

I had booked a car for 9 days weeks in advance for 10:00 Am. I had to pick someone up from the airport so the time was pretty important. The car was 30 minutes late and when I kept asking where it was I was told " its off being cleaned". Eventually I was told my car was ready and they took me to a car that I was sitting next to for the past 30 minutes (not away being cleaned at all). I was then gave the lady my credit card and she said so thatll be 800 dollars (over double the price we agreed upon when I booked). I asked why it was so high and she explained it was 200 dollars in case of damages which ill get back ,300 dollars for the rental and the rest is tax and fees. I asked what fees? ..... " just standard fees and Ive already swiped your card". In a rush I had to get to the airport as I was late. so I called later that day asking what theses fees were. I was told it was for a mandatory damage waiver, when I confronted the man on the phone saying the website states that it is optional and he should have told me about it in store. He stated that it is mandatory for British persons to have this cover in Canada. I eventually went into a different branch and spoke to someone helpful in Banff, and with a couple clicks on his computer the fees had disappeared. Overall the car was fine and the eventual cost was okay but the service from this particular branch was very difficult.

I have only rented from Enterprise once so far. They were extremely helpful, and their price was literally A FRACTION of their competitors price. I had reserved for 2 days; near the end of the 2nd day I telephoned from my motel room and asked if I could keep the car. Not only did they say "yes" but since my new return date fell on a day they werent open, I was permitted to keep the car until the next business day without paying for that extra day. It was sort of like, "Since the customer is making herself available to return the car at a time when we are not there to assist her, we will not fault her and ask for more money." When I congratulated them on all-around excellent service at the time of the cars drop off, they blushed and were really very modest and said that it was the right thing to do, nothing more. I dealt with Sham at drop off, and he was great, but also the attractive woman who took me out to my car initially on pick-up day was extremely courteous & friendly as well. I will be a return customer and have already planned out a few more dates I will be using them again. Tomorrow is one actually, as long as when I call back at 5:30 they do have a car available for tomorrow as right now there are NONE available. Id say that is a sign of good business sense, on their part. ;)

Nice at first, until I go to to use my credit card after the "24" hours you have to wait to get the deposit is up and it still isnt on my balance I call and ask,he says call the bank. So I do that she tells me they can call there cc company and take the hold off themselves, so I call he says he will call me back when it is done. Calls me back says its done now they are closed and I may have tones of 3-10 business days for the funds to return to my balance, terrible experience never again will I rent with you guys.

Staff were courteous and helpful. I had a printout from the Enterprise website with a quoted price which was lower than the price they gave at the office, and they agreed to match the website price. Found that the Enterprise website had an even lower price this morning, so I made a new reservation and they cancelled the more expensive reservation for me in a polite manner.

Wow. Called to reserve a van 2 weeks from now from Calgary to Medicine Hat, drop it here then again rent in 2 weeks to go back to Calgary. Those 2 X half day rental would cost $350.00 +. Be sure to ask about drop off fees.
